Ok, so you agree with me that a person can be a follower of Christ, aka "Christian", without being "born again". Am I understanding you correctly?

Not really. I guess I've just always believed in God from my earliest memories of childhood. I guess I was just blessed.

Thank you. Is it POSSIBLE that one can proclaim the following but not be born again? Jesus is Lord! I believe in Jesus. I believe that Jesus is the Christ. I believe that Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross to save ALL people. I believe in Jesus's commandments and strive to follow them...

A staff member posted their personal definition of who is a Christian and said that anyone who is NOT "born again" is NOT a Christian. I took exception to their definition and created this thread.

Jesus Returns In Fire And Final Judgement, At This Time The Resurrection Of "All" Takes Place (Then Cometh The End)

Revelation 20 English Standard Version 20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit[a] and a great chain. 2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into...

But you didn't answer my question. One verse says that some people are sent to forever Hell while the other verse says that Jesus IS the savior of ALL people. Both verses can't be correct. Which is correct and which is mistranslated?

Dan, In one verse the KJV says that some people go away into forever punishment. Another KJV verse says that Jesus IS the savior of ALL people. The KJV contradicts ITSELF. So which verse is correct and which verse was mistranslated? Matthew 25:41 King James Bible And these shall go away...

Being "born again" is something that happens to and for us; it's not something we can do to ourselves. Countless well-meaning preachers have asked people to be "born again" by accepting Jesus as their savior. Upon doing so, some then go out and proclaim that they have been "born again".
