The Problems of Perpetual Belief Alone Salvation-ism.

Thy word is truth...... all verses are the truth meaning verses do not contradict each other nor does the truth of one verse cancel out the truth of another verse. It's God's truth that believing saves (John 3:16; Jn 8:24) but that does not cancel out, negate or trump other verses that teach...

    Help with John 1:12-13

The Bible does teach election...it teaches corporate election where men of their own free will choose to become part of the corporate group called Christian. Those who do choose to become a Christian are then of that elect group. Therefore God can justly, rightly condemn those who did of their...

Seeing the difference = renewing the mind

In the great commission, (Mt 28:19-20) Jesus told His disciples to "Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:" Hence disciples are made by baptizing therefore becoming a disciple is impossible apart...

    Help with John 1:12-13

Hi, John 1:12 deomonstrates that belief alone is not sufficient to save. Belief alone does not make one a child of God, but for those who do beleive they are given the power to BECOME a child of God. Without belief, repentance would be impossible (Lk 13:3) confession of Christ impossible...

The Problems of Perpetual Belief Alone Salvation-ism.

Repentance is a change of mind that requires a change in conduct in how one lives his life. One who has been doing unrighteousness must start doing righteouness else he has not repented...."whosoever (presently & continues to) doeth not righteousness is (presently & continues to be) not of God"...

The Problems of Perpetual Belief Alone Salvation-ism.

All the belief only in the world can never save an impenitent person, (Lk 13:3; Rom 2:2-5)

The Problems of Perpetual Belief Alone Salvation-ism.

If salvation were by faith alone then that means one is saved by faith and NOTHING else. Yet if repentance comes before faith, then that must mean salvation is not by faith alone but by repentance AND faith. But if salvation were truly by faith alone then it would not matter if faith or...

The Problems of Perpetual Belief Alone Salvation-ism.

The NT gospel does not teach salvation by belief alone. If one can be saved by belief alone APART from repentance then there would be no reason for a person to ever repent of his sins. If one can be save in his unrepented of sins then why not be perpetually saved while remaining impenitent of...

Did Jesus REALLY know what it was like to be human?

If the idesa of a sin nature, total depravity are true where men are innately born with a nature that forces men to sin leaving man with no option but to sin. Yet Christ was not born with a sin nature/total depravity how can it be said Christ understands what it's like to be human?

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Do you understand that all works spoken about in the Bible are not alike, not all the same? Works of God, works of Satan, good works, evil works, works of righteousness, works of unrighteousness, works of the OT law, works of merit, works in obeying God's will are not all alike, not all the...

Can a Person be Born Homosexual?

There is no verse that says all men are born sinners or born with a sin nature or totally depraved. OS is an idea created by man therefore it comes with the problem that Christ would be born with sin, with a sin nature also, in 1 John 1 and 2 John deals with a false teaching similar to OS...

Two Extremes of Man's Religion: Works with Faith and Faith without Works

Works with Faith and Faith without Works The "works with faith" are not just any kind of works but specifically obedience to God's will. Hence it is faith with obedience that justifies and faith apart from obdience to God that does not justify. This is the difference between Paul and James...

Can a Person be Born Homosexual?

It is OS that is the heresy here for if OS were true, then Christ must have been born with OS SInce no one is born a sinner but all are born innocent including Christ, then CHrist was not born a sinner for He was "made like unto His brethren" who also were born without sin.

Original Sin (or sin nature) in the Bible:

Eze 18 refutes the idea of one person being made resposible for another persons' sin as OS tries to make all accountable/responsible for Adam's sin. Yet God refutes OS by showing each person is responsible for his OWN sin. The proverb in Eze 18:2 was an attack against God's justice in trying...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Yes, obedience to God's will saves whereas works of merit and the flawless works required by the OT law do not. All works are not alike as seen in Rom 10:3 where one work (going about to establish their OWN righteousness) that does not save rather than obeying GOD'S righteousness that does save.

    Is believing/faith a work ?

The words 'faith' and 'believe' come from the same Greek root word pisteuo where faith is a noun and believe is a verb. The problem I see with the faith onlyist is they are trying to conflate obedience to God's will as if obedience is a work of merit.

Can a Person be Born Homosexual?

Jesus being made like unto His brethren had freedom of will but He used His free will to choose not to sin.

Can a Person be Born Homosexual?

If "ALL" in Rom 3:23 is unconditionally universal including every single person, then it would for a fact include Christ and you are creating an exception were none exists. Heb 2:17 "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and...

    More about : Cults

Christ died for every man, Heb 2:9, therefore if there is nothing on the part of man, then every man should be unconditionally saved. Yet all are not saved for all will not conditionally obey Christ (Heb 5:9) and let Christ's atonement for sins on the cross pass them by.

Original Sin (or sin nature) in the Bible:

Everyone will physically die (Heb 9:27) at some point in their life, either die young or old, as a consequence of Adam sinning not because of inheriting Adam's sin. People die in auto accidents as a consequence of a drunk driving but they do not inherit the sin of the drunk driver. Eze 18...
