"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Again, I'm just quoting what was written. It is written, Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Who knew these writers and their relationship with Christ? And if they were being carried along by the Spirit or not as they wrote down what they did?

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Personally I'm not interested in Calvinism. I stick with the SPIRIT of God and what He says to me. For me it's that simple.

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, from what He experienced. Ask God not to lead you into temptation. Why? Because Jesus knew how challenging it was when His Father had His Spirit lead Him to tempted by Satan.

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

I'd be interested to know who told you this? If you want to use the bible as your means of confirmation then may I suggest the following. Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit He just received to be tempted by Satan. Satan sifted Peter. Paul said, hand them over to Satan for the...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

I guess I was saying that God uses Saran and demons Yes. Satan and His angels have many different roles. Maybe, but when we zoom out further we see that Satan and his fellow evil spirits are used (employed) by the Sovereign Creator.

Reader Poll - Where did the Bible come from?

And people ask why others don't have complete confidence in the many available bibles. And question us who go straight to the original source of Truth, God the Father, the Word of God Himself and Their Spirit Who has never stopped and continues to reveal new truths according to what we can...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

I would play it even more safe than relying and trusting in Orthodoxy and Fundamentalism. That is, relying on a living Person, the Spirit sent to us from God the Father. He can be relied on and trusted in relation to every teaching, every doctrine. Remember, He is the Spirit Who has access...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Also, I won't judge Calvin as I don't know why he , if he was, was allowed by God to be used as a tool of the devil. God seems to use spirits to do His dirty work. I don't want come to a false conclusion and criticise what God does through whomever He chooses to use and how. We know He uses...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Whether this Calvin guy was demon possessed or not I can't say for certain. But he seemed to be used by God for some purpose. I believe he and his acquaintances had an influence over the bible, KJV bible. Didn't these guys change the original 80 book KJV and reduce it to the 66 KJV that many...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Yes, amen. My question is about the last statement. Unity in the Essentials. Did you read this in the bible or receive this directly from the Holy Spirit. I've heard this quoted before but out of interest, where is its origin in the bible?
