    Carbon-14 and fossil dating

I agree, the Spirit convicted me against twisting creation days to be some vague period of time.

    Carbon-14 and fossil dating

Contamination from other sources of ionization may occur but that should only increase counts. There should be no natural means for the counts to be lower than predicted on the decay graph. So if you did carbon dating on a sample you could say something is at least a certain age corresponding...

    Carbon-14 and fossil dating

Additional binding would throw off the estimate for age, potentially making a sample appear younger. But nothing could make the sample appear to be older than it actually is except the assumed baseline. If for example there used to be something in place to block solar radiation, but it is no...

    Carbon-14 and fossil dating

So let's say archaeologists carbon date an organic sample. They must assume a baseline for C14 concentration when the sample was first grown. Then they take that assumption for the baseline, also assuming no further ionization? They extrapolate how old the sample is based on the halflife of...

I hate myself, and hate being an atheist.

That's good you're right on the mark about what to expect from a Christian forum. You are wrong on the last point. If you became a Christian the world would change around you. It would hate you as it hated Jesus.

    Is The Chosen biblically accurate?

Jesus did refuse to heal at some point in his life. There was Joseph who wasn't around when Jesus began his ministry. Don't you think Jesus would have wanted to keep Joseph for his mother's sake? But God had other plans. Let us also not conflate death of the body with damnation. Because death...

God turned me back to the faith by showing me the illogical nature of atheism

And this is why atheists often believe in relative truth. And also why many spirits, manifest in other religions, claiming to be a way to God. To muddy the waters. In uncertainty people can make up their own truth. You did not fall for the trap, instead loving the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:10

I hate myself, and hate being an atheist.

Time to stop seeking affirmation from your fellow man and live for Jesus. You know what they practice is sin and displeasing to God, these so called macho men are not people to look up to.

    Is The Chosen biblically accurate?

I like the series overall, and am going to continue watching.

    Is The Chosen biblically accurate?

To be more specific John 17:12 "While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled." While Jesus was here his followers had divine protection.

    Is anyone else a Seer?

    It's like Matthew 6:23

    Is The Chosen biblically accurate?

Season 4 episode 3 messed up IMO. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen the episode so I'll say no more.

    Is anyone else a Seer?

So he happened to be preaching about prophecy and seers before you spoke with him?

    Is anyone else a Seer?

Interesting, was the sermon in California anything that stood out as being unbiblical?

    Is The Chosen biblically accurate?

If it was biblically accurate, it isn't any longer.

United Methodists Lose 1M Members in a Single Day, Council of Bishops 'Grieves' Mass Exodus(After vote to allow gay clergy & ss unions)

I think people should be more fearful of the Lord if they have no hangups with causing discord in the church. He could easily kill people standing in his way.

How does Theology impact our daily life?

IMO ideas can be spiritualized. In so far as ideas can cause obsessions in people like spirits do. Ideas are not easily destroyed. They can grow and evolve. And you end up with ideologues, who are basically possessed by their ideas. Few can come up with new popular ideas. A few philosophers...

    InterFaith: Insufficient Privilege

You can have a discussion there, but can't start a topic. Christian members were treating it like any other forum, but it is there for the benefit of the other faith members. I see you started the topic under apologetics, other faith members can access that forum as well.

United Methodists Lose 1M Members in a Single Day, Council of Bishops 'Grieves' Mass Exodus(After vote to allow gay clergy & ss unions)

The moral decay starts in the cities. So these major denomination splits are often between city and rural churches.
