    Are there prophets today?

Here is 2 Pet1:20-21 20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Once again, what is your point?

    Are there prophets today?

I don't know what you're point is. Yes, there were prophets for sure in the OT! Likewise in the NT. But not today. We have the complete word of God today and don't need "prophets" to reveal any future event.

    When to get baptized?

IMMEDIATELY upon belief as was evidenced in the conversions in the book of Acts. Until you're baptized, you're still in sin and therefore lost, not saved. You're also not yet a child of God, a Christian, nor part of the body of Christ which is his church.

    Are there prophets today?

A phrophet is one who describes a future event on behalf of or at the behest of God. Prophesy is one of the manifestations of the Spirit, commonly referred to as gifts of the Spirit, and is one of the "gifts" listed in 1 Cor 12:8-10. All those gifts have long ago ceased as was told they would in...

    Are there prophets today?

    Yes but only phony ones

Is speaking in tongues necessary for salvation?

Just to also clarify, to he baptized "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost", OR, "in the name of Jesus Christ", are both acceptable, because "in the name of" simply means by the authority of; to recite the actual names mean nothing prior to immersion. And as you can...

    What is the Great Tribulation?

Look closely at all references to it. It's not " the great tribulation", like one specific, grand, event, but rather simply "great tribulation", or just "tribulation". A significant difference. Even John, when writing Revelation, referred to himself as being a "brother and companion in...

    Who can perform baptism?

"Few there be that find it" and that ain't you, unfortunately.

    Who can perform baptism?

You make no sense and lack scriptural understanding, i.e.; your quote of 1 Cor 1:17: read a bit further to understand what was meant. Read 1 Cor 3:6-7 below. Apollos was doing most of the baptizing. Paul preached and taught, Apollos baptized (immersed), God gave the increase consistent with Acts...

    Who can perform baptism?

Goodbye. Go divide some more words. Start with the few in the below scriptures. Acts 22:16 16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 2:38 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name...

    Who can perform baptism?

I can read and understand simple, clear, English! Can you? Obviously not.

    Who can perform baptism?

How can a person misuse such plain English as is the scripture? What a dumb comment!

    Who can perform baptism?

That's NOT what the scripture says. Baptism DOES save the believer. 1 Peter 3:21 KJV 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

    Who can perform baptism?

The TRUE church can be replicated as it was in early NT times. By who's authority? God's! We're told in the Bible to make deciples of every nation. Any Christian can baptize and do exactly that. A baptized believer is a member of the Lord's body having been baptized into it and added to it by...

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

The word Easter in Acts 12:4 as an example and timely to note now. The Greek word is 'pascha' which is passover. The kjv is the only bible that "translated" this as Easter. The translators took it upon themselves to substitute Easter for passover.

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move the mountain. Really?

Whatever. Do you have the kind of faith Jesus talked about, the kind that Stephen had? Then go tell a mountain somewhere to be removed. The joke is on you, not me.

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move the mountain. Really?

That's what it says, that's what it means. The problem is, we say we have faith, but when it comes right down to it, we really don't have the kind of faith Jesus was referring to. When we pray and it doesn't happen, we then resort to saying, 'oh, it must not have been God's will'. So, did we...

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

There are many " bibles", many translations, some good, some bad and biased. So, your statement is not quite accurate. As a result, it becomes our responsibility to sort out the good from the bad so as not to be mislead, and not assume that just because the book says Holy Bible on its cover that...

In heaven, we are all sons of God

Christians are also sons of God while yet alive here on the earth, by adoption as the scriptures state. Romans 8:14-17, Eph 1:5, Galatians 3:26, Galatians 4:5-6.

    Who can perform baptism?

For sure, any Christian, which is exemplified by scripture. There is no scripture defining who can or can't baptize nor one that defines qualifications of the baptizer. The only thing we know by the scriptures is that baptism is an immersion in water, by the authority of God (i.e.; in the name...
