To the Curmudgeons posting and responding with sour grapes

@1stCenturyLady, why did you not respond to these above I've asked from you? Did you somehow not see it or not know the answer? It's ok if you don't know the answer but it is worse to not answer and let me know at all. Thanks.

    What does "born again" mean?

I hope you didn't think that I was laughing at you again Johann when you wrote that post of whether it was just you replying to a poster or you walking by the Spirit. I put a laughing emoji because I just thought it was funny bc I too at times have thought like that too. I believe though that...

I'm so sorry to hear that but it didn't answer my question. I will quote it below and you can do an explanation for me just so I can understand things better. Thanks a lot. And are you saying that sins NOT unto death is the fruit of the Spirit only? Not other deeds (works), walking by the...

    What does "born again" mean?

I also believe and that is only my belief so far, that baptism is more than just symbolic, something happens after that in the spiritual realm and you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. I believe it's different if the Holy Spirit descended upon you than if it was dwelling IN you after baptism...

There is no faith alone in Ephesians 2:8, stop adding words to it.

grace is for if we sin, not a license to sin so not to willfully/intentionally sin. By no means!

I have the same or similar question as others on the forum too @1stCenturyLady. What if we still fail in doing sin NOT unto death? Are you perfect in not doing all sins NOT unto death? Thank you!

There is no faith alone in Ephesians 2:8, stop adding words to it.

Romans 8:1-2 Living in the Spirit: 1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.

There is no faith alone in Ephesians 2:8, stop adding words to it.

You're welcome.:) Yes I am talking about that scripture. I believe we're required to do works by the Spirit/walk after/strive for the Spirit and to not do or walk after works of the flesh. Romans 8:2-26 NKJV For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin...

There is no faith alone in Ephesians 2:8, stop adding words to it.

I love the part of the gospel I was taught. I was taught that Christ died for our past sins so that we could be a changed, repentant person, a new creature walking by the Spirit in righteousness, Christ-like, to deny our fleshly selves, not walk in the flesh and take up our cross and follow Him...

There is no faith alone in Ephesians 2:8, stop adding words to it.

That's correct! We're to strive to and endure to the end not to walk by the flesh but by the Spirit; that is, not do works of the flesh but we're required to do works by the Spirit, the Holy Spirit which is our Helper, that not of our fleshly selves but by the Spirit. God gives us the Holy...

There is no faith alone in Ephesians 2:8, stop adding words to it.

I like your post but you must remember that the thief on the cross was not water baptized because Jesus was still alive but after Jesus went back to the Father, He said beforehand to his disciples that when he goes away there will be another helper, the Holy Spirit and the bible says we're to be...

I've learned that message boards that permit free expression are extraordinarily RARE

oh, I'm sorry to hear that but I want to add or clarify, there are people who can really keep things confidential but you just don't ever really know who. It's hard to say so that is the problem, not that you can't trust anyone with confidentiality.

There is too much negativity. Let us come together for a moment to share why each of us is grateful to God!

I like this but what does it have to do with the topic of this thread?

There is too much negativity. Let us come together for a moment to share why each of us is grateful to God!

one thing I'm grateful for God for is that I went to a good, Bible-based church where they taught the truth and all the right things.

What is the Law and the Prophets? And...

Thanks for trying to help but no, I don't think you got it right. I think He's speaking in the present in the NT.. I have not come to abolish the Law and Prophets but to fulfill them. Not 'until' (future, on Judgement Day?!) everything is accomplished. That's what I think it means in that part...

What is the Law and the Prophets? And...

I think He's talking about the future. He has not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill them. Not 'until' everything is accomplished. Okay, does anyone know what the whole Matthew 5:17-20 fully mean? What's the "these commandments" referring to? everything in the bible? all His...

Once Blood Bought and Justified, Always Blood Bought and Justified? ... You Betcha!

Matthew 13:36-43 The Parable of the Weeds Explained 36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” 37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and...

Once Blood Bought and Justified, Always Blood Bought and Justified? ... You Betcha!

there's only one gospel, that's right. it's all in the bible. the "it's not possible with man, but with God all things are possible. the Holy Spirit is given to us as our Helper to following Jesus and His words and commandments and to repent and walk not by the flesh but walk by the Spirit. for...
