    Protestantism is a sin....

Baptism in the New Testament is not by sprinkling or pouring. It is by emersion.

    Protestantism is a sin....

Indeed, we must endure till the end to be saved. We must be overcomers to be saved. We must finish the race to be saved. I would not argue with that, but in the mind of God, the elect are already known and sealed, as He knew who would be saved before he created us in the womb.

    Protestantism is a sin....

The scripture you posted does not say that. This is just your opinion, and I disagree.

    Protestantism is a sin....

Faith without works is dead. We are saved by faith, but that is an active faith. Jesus said that those who are his disciples obey his teachings. Those who do not are not really people of faith. Non-Catholics are divided over this, as they are divided over unconditional security of the...

    Protestantism is a sin....

A lot of people are baptized but not saved. Baptism does not save people, but if what you say is true, anyone would be born again if they are simply baptized. By the way, baptism in the Bible is by emersion, not sprinkling. If baptism is a requirement for salvation, a lot of Catholics are...

    Protestantism is a sin....

While we are at it, where do we find the Rosary in scripture? Where do we find Nuns in scripture? Where do we find New Testament Priests in the church that cannot marry? Where does God change his commandment against graven images and say to create them for departed saints, and where are we...

    Protestantism is a sin....

Jesus never made Peter a Pope, and the word Pope never appears in scripture. In addition, if Peter were the first Pope, Paul would not have been able to rebuke Peter for having a fault, but Paul did, to his face. Peter would have been over Paul in authority, and he was not.

    Protestantism is a sin....

It is spiritual. There were no literal keys either. The Bible speaks of being born again, but that is not possible either in the natural. He was speaking of Peter's confession. I do not care how many times you disagree. That is what Jesus was speaking of. That is my position, and it is not...

    Is Being Late A Sin?

According to 1 John chapter 3, "sin is the transgression of the law." Is there anything in scripture that says being late is wrong? If there is anything, it would be if you told someone you would be at a certain place at a certain time and failed to keep your word. Then it is a lie. Of...

    Protestantism is a sin....

Protestant churches attempted to reform wrong teachings in the Catholic Church. That was a mistake. If you visit a United Methodist Church, you can see Catholic influence in it. We must go back to the New Testament, and start all over at the source. That is the only real solution. We must...

Christ only died for past sins...

There is no question about that. When Jesus died, he died for all the sins of those who followed God in Old Testament times and for all the sins of those who would be saved afterward. His sacrifice was sufficient for every man, woman, boy and girl that would ever live, but it will not do...

    Protestantism is a sin....

The keys are the ability to bind and loose. Jesus was not limiting that to Peter. Any Christian is able to take authority over the devils if they believe. Jesus was not establishing His church on Peter. Right after this, Jesus rebukes Peter and says he is being used of Satan. Jesus was...

    Protestantism is a sin....

I would not know, as I do not consider myself Protestant or Catholic. I am a born again Christian. I am not protesting anything. I never was. I hold to the Bible alone, and seek to establish a church based on scripture alone. I am not aware of 5 dogmas of Protestants.

It is visible as we are salt and light in this world.

    Protestantism is a sin....

Theefaith, we believe there is one true church. That is what you do not understand. The problem is, we know that this church is not the Catholic Church or any denomination. It is those who belong to Christ, no matter what church they attend, and many members of the Lord's church do not have a...

    Protestantism is a sin....

I pray that he will become a true, born again Christian. Then he will be in the same church we are, the church that Jesus Christ founded, regardless of what church he attends.

    Protestantism is a sin....

The church was not founded on Peter either, but on his confession that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and Jesus never made Peter a Pope.

    Protestantism is a sin....

I am not sure what the Protestant line of defense is. I did offer to answer questions using scripture if he will post the specific questions and number them. That is the only way I can be sure what he wants to know. I am happy to answer questions using the Bible only, but the way he is saying...

    Protestantism is a sin....

Nothing you posted says God made the Catholic Church the one true church. When Jesus said "upon this rock, I will build my church," he was speaking of Peter's confession, not Peter himself. The confession was that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus was not starting a church...
