John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

Agreed. It takes faith to obey. Someone who believes in the Gospel but is not obedient is not born again, and will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

True. It takes a new heart and a new spirit, i.e., the born again experience, to obey. What's more, mere belief will not save either, as obedience is required.

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

The lamb that was killed represented the perfect Lamb that was to come, Jesus. The OT gives us types and shadows of the real thing. Jesus fulfilled the OT scriptures. The perfect Lamb, Jesus, was offered on the altar of God to shed His blood for the remission of sin. For anyone to minimize the...

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

Again, you are tongue-twisting like MacArthur when it comes to the blood of Jesus. Something is seriously wrong when someone does this, and it certainly does not come from above. At Passover, the Israelites were commanded to kill a Lamb (Jesus) and apply the blood to the door posts and lintel of...

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

You are playing semantics just like John MacArthur. Jesus had to literally shed His blood to fulfill the Scriptures. God required the Lamb to be without blemish; the sacrifice had to be perfect. The shedding of the blood of THE perfect Lamb of God was necessary to fulfill the Scriptures...

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

Why play semantics as John MacArthur does? It's the blood that washes sin away; it's the LIFE that offers the blood. Revelation 1 [5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and...

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

That is not correct at all. The blood is a very important part of the atonement. Leviticus 17 [11] For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

John MacArthur says you have nothing to do with being "born again"

Jesus did say that no man can come to Him except the Father draws him. So, God draws, but we must yield to that drawing. As for John MacArthur, I have serious issues with him because of his tongue-twisting and semantics on the blood of Jesus. I truly question whether he is saved or not. He may...

Will BLM Reap What It Sows?

The whole police brutality of blacks is greatly misplaced. The blacks, as a whole, have brought this on themselves by their conduct. Police are suspicious of them for a reason. Are police innocent? No, but they are reacting to what they have to deal with. Do we hear of brutality of Asians...

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

That's not the way I read it. Circumcision first and then baptism to reflect what's already occurred.

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

Being baptized in water is a teaching of Jesus, so it is necessary; but, it is not a substitute for the born-again experience when one receives a new heart and a new spirit from above, circumcision of the heart.

End times: 5.1 earthquake in North Carolina

In an unlikely part of America, a 5.1 earthquake hits NC. Earthquakes in diverse places is a prophecy of Jesus. Matthew 24 [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the...

What is the difference between Adam and the Messiah?

When tempted with sin, Adam gave into Satan, while Jesus did not. Therefore, Adam lost the image of God, while Jesus retained it.

    Blood and Water

I do not know, but perhaps it was the living water that was part of Him.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Indeed. The Word of God is the WATER that Jesus spoke of.

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

But, in John 3:5, Jesus did not refer to His blood, but WATER and the Spirit. It's clear WATER is the the Word of God. The thief on the cross was saved by WATER [the Word of God] and by the Spirit, by the shedding of Jesus' blood for the remission of sin, not by water baptism. Again, Jesus'...

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Why did not Jesus say, "Unless a man is baptized in water and born of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God?"

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The blood of Jesus washes away sin, not water. If water could wash away sin, then there would have been no need for Jesus to have been born into the human race to eventually go to the Cross of Calvary.. Read my signature. Jesus fulfilled that Scripture on the Cross. It's the blood of Jesus!

Brace yourselves! Dana Coverstone 3 dreams. Woe to America!

I'm sharing some compelling dreams from Pastor Dana Coverstone that reveal the calamities coming upon America. They seem legitimate, but only time will tell. Brace yourselves!

Except a man be born of WATER and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

As to the OP, the WATER that Jesus spoke of is the "Word of God". One cannot enter the Kingdom of God without being born of the Word of God. The Word of God does teach that once one has received the miraculous born again experience, he/she should go forth to be baptized in water to fulfill all...
