Should you force your children to attend church against their will?

When our children were under our roof(s), it was understood that we go to church as a family. When they moved out on their own, it was their responsibility to decide whether and where they go to church. We have prayed daily for them to make the right decision, but it is theirs to make. It is no...

Ultimately, it's not a matter of who is right and who is wrong... (?)

Ah, I see. Also, I thank you for your clarification. May the 3-in-1 God bless you!

Why are Christians leaving their churches?

I agree with you; I found a church with only male pastors and elders based on the Bible's teachings.

Why are Christians leaving their churches?

If you search hard enough, I think that you will find a church like mine that sticks very closely to the Scriptures in their preaching and teaching.

Ultimately, it's not a matter of who is right and who is wrong... (?)

No, I meant to address you, @Sister-n-Christ, because of this quote, in which you appear to deny that Jesus is human: "Of course he could not be killed by those unbelievers in the temple or the Romans who carried out the crucifixion. His death on the cross was his final parable to those for...

Many times people who act like Christians can fool you too. I've known many people who are merely actors, the meaning of the word "hypocrite," who appear to be Christians but are not.

Ultimately, it's not a matter of who is right and who is wrong... (?)

The TrInItI is the heart and soul of the Christian faith. That rule is bogus, @St. SteVen.

Ultimately, it's not a matter of who is right and who is wrong... (?)

@Sister-n-Christ, please let me respectfully get this straight. Do you believe that Jesus didn't really die on the cross, as you seem to imply? If he didn't actually die and shed his blood, Paul's description of the benefits we receive from his death are false, and we are yet to be pitied as...

Ultimately, it's not a matter of who is right and who is wrong... (?)

Ultimately, I don't know who is and who is not a Christian, because many join church with other motives than that they love Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit as the one true God of the inspired Bible. It seems to me that a true Christian has a personal relationship with that same God.

Jesus is fully God and fully human, a mystery. He could die as human and could come back to permanent life as God, @Jack.

--Faith in the Triune God. --My personal convictions are the inspiration of the Bible and the Trinity. --I leave them in God's hands.

What is YOUR "thorn in the flesh"?

Yes, the point of the Book of Job is that true faith will last, even under the most severe suffering.

What is YOUR "thorn in the flesh"?

@PGS11, it sounds to me that he has already given you eternal life, since he has put that hope in you. I too hope for that day when Jesus returns and when he gives me a resurrection body that will have no imperfections, all by his grace.

What is YOUR "thorn in the flesh"?

Then, @christs-love, since you're not a nobody in God's sight, you can be his prayer-warrior!

What is YOUR "thorn in the flesh"?

That's where God's gift of peace comes in, @Gottservant (Philippians 4:6-7). Php 4:6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will...

    Thank you very much, @christs-love!!

Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

My thoughts are, @St. SteVen, that I agree with you. It definitely was a real experience, to which Peter later testifies: 2Pe 1:16 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2Pe...

To the only God our Savior

Do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah @Matthias?

To the only God our Savior

Typically, the New Testament writers use the title "God" for God the Father, while they refer to Jesus as "Lord." The Hebrew word "Yahweh" is three Persons in one God, as the Gospel of John clearly shows. Jesus definitely identifies himself as the second Person of Yahweh in the account of the...

Why are Christians leaving their churches?

@Triumph1300, if you compare the three lists of spiritual gifts in Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, and Ephesians 4, you will discover that the gift of speaking in tongues is only mentioned in one. Therefore, a good conclusion is that the lists are descriptive of those churches' gifts and that only...
