Hellfire and brimstone has given way to eternal separation from God. - Why?

But there is no argument between God being the source of knowledge and the bible being a source of knowledge, since the written scriptures are HIS God-breathed words. If we love the Lord, we love and accept what He says, in whatever manner He conveys truth to us.

Why are you deflecting from the gist of my post?

Hellfire and brimstone has given way to eternal separation from God. - Why?

Funny then that the Lord holds every soul accountable for rejecting the truth, if the truth on foundational things is that hard to get hold of. The bible says "What can the righteous do if the foundations be destroyed?" We need to have the foundation right (and established IN us) surely, in...

Hellfire and brimstone has given way to eternal separation from God. - Why?

And it is interesting that in Revelation it says if anyone adds or takes away from the book, that those same plagues will be added to those who do so which Mystery Babylon receives. I wonder if that's because adding or taking away from God's word is a habit and signature of Mystery Babylon so...

Hellfire and brimstone has given way to eternal separation from God. - Why?

Seems to be a recurring theme in the bible. It's never right to handle any scripture falsely: Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Jer 8:8 “How can you...

Hellfire and brimstone has given way to eternal separation from God. - Why?

How do you know whether it does or doesn't go against the written scriptures, except that you read and know them well? We are told to test the spirits and test all things. Like the Bereans who were commended for searching the scriptures to see if something is so, or not so. I agree we are to...

Hellfire and brimstone has given way to eternal separation from God. - Why?

I think we need to understand what restoration entails. It involves the removal and destruction of evil and evil-doers from God's domain/kingdom. Which means from all that exists, since everything that exists is God's. This is what restoration looks like: Mat 13:39-43 The enemy that sowed...

The (potential) Treachery of Doctrine > My way, or the highway >

Beg your pardon then. I must have missed that. I only read that you didn't mean to give that impression or words to that effect. Whole counsel of God means to take all of scripture together, and not just isolated verses that by themselves might appear to contradict other verses. I'm most of...

Is that another deceitful, gaslighting falsehood like your "I don't know which of the three viewpoints is right"...? For someone with no purpose here, you spend an awful lot of time here. Look, it's not difficult, it's very simple. The wages of sin is death. That means to perish. As opposed...

Funny that isn't what you SAID in the video. What you SAID was that you didnt' know which viewpoint is the right one. I don't find you very transparent about what you believe. You spend all your time asking questions and saying very little. That comes across as slippery to me. If you feel...

The (potential) Treachery of Doctrine > My way, or the highway >

God's word is a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path. As another poster rightly said, which you ignored, we need knowledge and transformation both. Talking about knowledge/understanding on a spiritual level which contributes to our transformation and growth.

By faith. If they acknowledge Christ by faith they will be saved. Everyone will acknowledge Him by sight when they are being judged by Him. But it will be too late then. Like the rich man in hell that Jesus spoke about who saw the truth too late and even wanted to warn his brothers but couldn't.

The fundamental gospel message is plain and clear - repent or perish - meaning return to the Lord through Christ - but it is always under attack, and the journey can be a messy one.

You are always arguing against God's word and now are calling it all a pointless game. You aren't actually a Christian then, but a devotee of your own religion. One must be born of the Spirit in order to have spiritual understanding and enter and see His kingdom. The natural man cannot...

The (potential) Treachery of Doctrine > My way, or the highway >

First of all Jesus never said this would all be neat and tidy and wrapped up with a bow. No, on the contrary, He said He is sending us out as sheep among wolves. This is a war, and war is a messy business. Our faith gets tested and tried, so we are presented with things we need to overcome...

You say you don't know which viewpoint is right.......which is funny because it's obvious from the slant of all your questions which one you favour and are trying to influence others to. Are you unwilling to take a stand for fear it will interfere with "unity"? In which case that would be...

Death is the natural consequence and result of sin. Which man chose, and continues to choose, to do. But God in His mercy for our great folly and rebellion provided a way to escape it....through Christ. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever would believe in Him...

The scriptures are able to make one wise unto salvation. There is value in the washing of the water of the word.....to wash and cleanse, to encourage, to warn, to instruct and exhort.....since we have a race to run in order to win the prize. We are warned in scripture too that the time would...

Yes He did. As you say, God is love..........but that isn't all He is. He is also a consuming fire.
