WHOEVER relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches OTHERS to do the same

So then is it your position that Christians should follow the Mosaic Law and that we should not relax the least part of it or teach others to relax the least part of it?

WHOEVER relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches OTHERS to do the same

Christianity is about following Christ and the way to Christ is not by disregarding his warring against relaxing the least part of the law or teaching others to do that. The way to believe in Jesus is also not by rejecting what he taught.

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

The Mosaic Law is truth (Psalms 119:142). For God to be righteous means that He is a doer of righteous works and it would be contradictory for God to be righteous apart from being a doer of righteous works, so for us to have the righteousness of God means that we are doers of righteous works...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

What does that have to do with my post? Indeed, the only way to become righteous that is testified about by the Law and the Prophets is through faith and I have not suggested otherwise.

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

So you're in favor of Christians walking in God's way, you said nothing to counter the Scriptures that demonstrates that the Mosaic Law is God's way, yet you won't agree that Christians should obey the Mosaic Law, and instead arguing that God's way has ended and become obsolete. It should not...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

Paul spoke about multiple categories of law other than the Law of God, such as the law of sin and works of the law, so it is important to correctly discern which law he was referring to. For example, in Romans 7:25-8:2, Paul equated the Law of God with the Law of the Spirit by contrasting them...

Yeshua taught judaism in the context of the belief in him, catholicism and also protestanism are false religions that disregard the Torah of Moses

The Bible never lists which laws are part of the moral law and never even refers to that as being category of law. The existence of that category would imply that we can be acting morally while disobeying the laws that are not in that category, but there is no example in the Bible where...

Yeshua taught judaism in the context of the belief in him, catholicism and also protestanism are false religions that disregard the Torah of Moses

1.) You shall not commit murder. 2.) This person has was charged with committing murder. The first is an example of a law that is for our own good while the second is an example of a handwritten ordinance that was against someone that was nailed to their cross to announce why they were being...

Yeshua taught judaism in the context of the belief in him, catholicism and also protestanism are false religions that disregard the Torah of Moses

The fruits of the Spirit are aspects of God's character. God's holy days foreshadow was is to come, so we should testify about the truth of what is to come by continuing to observe them rather than a way that denies the truth of what is to come. The Bible often uses the same terms to describe...

    The God is our Righteousness

For someone to have a character trait means that they are doers of that trait and it would be contradictory for someone to have a character trait while not being a doer of that trait, so for God to be righteous means that He is a doer of righteous works and it would be contradictory for God to...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

I agree. In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to walk in His way that he and Israel might know him, and the Bible repeatedly describes the Mosaic Law as being God's way: Joshua 22:5 Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

Do you agree or disagree that Christians should walk in God's way in accordance with His instructions for how to know Him?

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

Indeed, I do, though if I were not following a particular command, then that would mean that I should repent, not that I am wrong about the fact that followers of God ought to follow what He has commanded in accordance with the example that Christ set for us to follow. Christ wore tassels...

Yeshua taught judaism in the context of the belief in him, catholicism and also protestanism are false religions that disregard the Torah of Moses

Christ set a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to the Mosaic Law, so the problem that they had with the Judaizers was not that they were teaching Gentiles how to follow Christ. The view that we have of the law matches the view that we have of the lawgiver for giving...

Yeshua taught judaism in the context of the belief in him, catholicism and also protestanism are false religions that disregard the Torah of Moses

In Hebrews 3:18-19, they did not enter into God's rest because of their disobedience/unbelief, and in Ezekiel 20:13, it specifically mentions that they greatly profaned God's Sabbaths. In Hebrews 4:9-11, there remans as Sabbath rest for the people of God, we should rest form our work as God...

Yeshua taught judaism in the context of the belief in him, catholicism and also protestanism are false religions that disregard the Torah of Moses

In Matthew 4:15-23, Christ began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and the Mosaic Law was how his audience knew what sin is (Romans 3:20), so repenting from our disobedience to it is a central part of the Gospel...

What Old Covenant Laws are the New Covenant believer to obey?

The Mosaic Law describes the way that Christ lived as doe the greatest two commandments, so it is not a different manner of living that is more or less complicated. A sum is not more or less than its parts. You even agreed that love covers all of the law, so for example, it is contradictory to...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

God is not in disagreement with Himself about which laws we should follow, so the Law of God is the same as the Law of Christ, the Law of the Spirit, and the Law of the Father, which was given to Moses. In Deuteronomy 5:31-33, Moses wrote down everything God commanded without departing from it...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

In Deuteronomy 30:11-20, it says that God's law is not too difficult for us to obey and that obedience to it brings life and a blessing while disobedience brings death and a curse, so choose life! So it was presented as a possibility and believing that we can keep the Mosaic Law is a matter of...

Observations about the law, the Law, God's law, Christ's law - four different things

Sin is the transgression of God's law, so it is beyond me how you can use a passage where Jesus told someone to go and sin no more as being against works religion. Jesus set a sinless example of how to practice Judaism by living in sinless obedience to the Mosaic Law, yet you think he was...
