CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

You have just proven my point about the Calvinist tendency to alter the definition to coincide with the false doctrine. You are absolutely and completely wrong. God foreknows absolutely everything. He actually pre-plans very little even in those cases that He has pre-planned for. He knew from...

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

And you have done it here with the word foreknowledge. Yes, perhaps the English word "prognosis" comes from the Greek word πρόγνωσις [prognōsis]. But the Greek word does not mean the same thing as the English word "prognosis". The English word "prognosis" means prediction or...

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

Consider the word foreknowledge or foreknow. The meaning is quite simple. God's foreknowledge is His omniscience applied to the future. It really means nothing more than that. Now I well understand that a Calvinist like John Gill does not necessarily represent all Calvinism or all Calvinists...

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

It is the Calvinist who misdefines terms. Terms such as called, foreknowledge, predestination, sovereignty, and so many more are given definitions that distort the gospel to coincide with the Calvinist theology, especially soteriology.

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

That is not true. Being in Christ is not being free from the law. Being in Christ does not mean we are free to murder, steal, covet, etc., When Paul says that we are not under the law, he is not saying that we do not need to obey the law. He is saying that being in Christ is being free from the...

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

I think you are misreading that passage. Verse 12 says, "So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good." If the law is holy and righteous and good, it cannot promote sin. A key in that passage is verse 8 which says, "For apart from the law, sin lies dead." That agrees...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

Whether we fully understand it is not an issue. God has told us that the punishment for sins has been paid. It is only up to us to believe in Him who has told us that and to believe in the truth of what He has told us.

    Scriptures that Refute Calvinism

In the Hebrew, to know was sometimes a euphemism not for just some relationship, but rather for the explicit act of sexual intercourse. To think that a euphemism for sexual intercourse carries any meaning whatsoever for God's foreknowledge is not simply crude, it borders on heresy. God's...

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

I do believe that we were "in God" when we were born. But more to the point, I think being "in Adam" is only a euphemism for being human physically and not being in any way subject to Adam for our spiritual condition or well-being. I believe the very idea of traducianism is absolutely ludicrous.

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

If your spirit was dead (separated) from God when you were both, what is the significance of Ephesians 2:1 and Colossians 2:13 where Paul says that we were dead in our (your) trespasses and sins?

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

So you were wrong when you said all mean all?

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

Do you seriously believe that God gave you a dead spirit?

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

Of ;course you can. Just give them God's word, the Bible. That is God's truth.

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

So then how about the first part of that verse? ":...as one trespass led to condemnation for all men" (Rom 5:18), Does that mean it will?

What Is "Predestination"? How Does It Shape Your Daily Life?

So then what does "....so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men" (Rom 5:18) mean? Does all mean all, not just those who would believe?
