has anyone seen my friend, quietthinker? :(

I know where a liner called Farouk is. If it is the same one he hasn't gone bush and isn't on holiday. This one likes to talk about attitudes to tattoos and piercings among Christians. Obsessed about this some say. Might get a ban if tensions mount.

Stop blaming Satan, scripture for study

If logic and linguistics are ignored confusion results, so that a defeated foe is erroneously declared to be dead, inanimate, and non-existent. This erroneous declaration contradicts Biblical prophecy of present and future interactions with Satan prior to his casting into the Lake of Fire, and...

Stop blaming Satan, scripture for study

You believe that Satan is dead to you, MatthewG, but it is a logical fallacy to insist therefore he is actually dead to everyone and no longer active in lives anywhere. Christians know that Satan is their defeated foe, but he is still our Adversary nevertheless. Jas 4:7 Therefore submit to...

    Falling From Grace

Well alright then. Now we're getting somewhere. The writers of the NT had good reason to mention folk falling from grace and falling short, or failing of it, and even some potentially doing despite to, or insulting the Spirit of grace. Meanwhile, where sin abounds grace also abounds. Rom...

I still only commented on the one line I agreed with. Nek minit big swathe of hostile accusations. What's that about?

    Falling From Grace

Chill out, Brother Behold. I responded by way of edification, comfort, and encouragement to Episkopos regarding the excellent line he wrote namely, "By grace we fulfill that standard." Falling from grace is not the end of the world if being rebuked for it leads to being restored to it.

    Falling From Grace

Amen. Justified and standing in God's Grace. Good one, Episkopos. Rom 5:1-2 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (2) through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

I had edited my comment whilst you were composing your vectored speculations. See this thread also: Who Falls From Grace & Who Falls Short Of It? | Page 5 | Christian Forums @ Christianity Board

    Falling From Grace

I suppose by leaving their great love of Christ they have fallen from grace. As I read it they didn't lose their first love, they left it, possibly for procedural formality. Doing first works that equate to one's first love of Christ , , , what could they be?

    All eschatological views are correct?

Mar 9:43-48 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— (44) where 'THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.' (45) And if your foot causes...

    All eschatological views are correct?

It shouldn't matter to you what I do, say, think, or believe since you promote Relativism here. You can't have your cake intact and eat it too.

    All eschatological views are correct?

All eschatological views are correct? The phrasing of this question is similar to the Titles of Debate our debating teams were given back in my school days. The affirmative team would employ the conditional terms "if" and "when" to argue such statements, so in this case "All eschatological...

    Was Spurgeon right?

Yes. There is a place for humour in preaching, but not in the flesh at the expense of godly edification

    All eschatological views are correct?

Hi stunnedbygrace. Crickets you say? I hope you don't kill them. When they come inside we flick them into a cup and cover it then release them outside away from the house.

    Jesus is Dead

Depends on the belief. May I recommend a book to you. It is called "The Battle For Truth" by David A. Noebel. It's subtitle is "Defending the Christian Worldview in the Market Place of Ideas". Providing a chart with each chapter this book systematically compares the theology, philosophy...

    When to Leave Church

Many local assemblies are bound by the rules and regulations of their denomination, organisation, or movement. Sometimes attendees are given written notice to comply or be expelled from the congregation. It is difficult to get a consensus on some issues so often it is the leader alone who forces...

    Prayer for Zak

In the past I have studied some excellent scientific opinions with regard to schizophrenia which has at times affected members of my immediate and extended family. From accredited scientifice evidence two things stand out as causes of schizophrenia: An inherited predisposition. An early...

OSAS But Be Ready Or Else

Perhaps worse still is the belief that a person is forever saved regardless of evidence to the contrary. Rom 11:19-22 You will say then, "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in." (20) Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be...
