If baptism is a ......work...then so is repentance. (neither are works).

Baptism is required to qualify for repented status or to become born again. How righteous life is after that is up to the person repenting. I can't answer your questions...I think they are out of context. Read scripture.

Baptism comply's with God's commandments. Just as repentance does.

You cannot baptise yourself. But there is always someone who can do it for you...just ask. We are reminded there are many ways to witness for Christ...that is one.
