Where in the scripture is anyone called to be a Christian?

You're not a christian, 2Timothy 2:24-26, -And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient in humility correcting those who are in opposition, If God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth. James 1:26, -if anyone among you...

Where in the scripture is anyone called to be a Christian?

Sorry, but you are just one person. You do not know everything about your church. I'm giving you proof. Tell me why Mary never had sex with Joseph? She did, Matthew 1:25. When you answer that then tell me I'm ignorant.

Where in the scripture is anyone called to be a Christian?

Where in the scripture is anyone called to be a Christian?

It sure doesn't. Why then do you teach it. Explain why Mary would not engage in sexual intercourse the entire time she was married to her husband? Explain? Also this is more false doctrine from the Catholics, Matthew 1:25, -and did not know her(sexual intercourse) till she had brought forth her...

    Infant baptism biblical?

Every Greek scholar worth his salt, disagrees with you. I'm not putting any faith in what the catholic church claims. I've already confirmed you are in err of the definition of baptizo. All one has to do is contact multiple Greek scholars and they can learn it means immersion. Never sprinkling...

Water saved Noah The like figure is baptism. Peter said baptism now saves us, Acts 2:38, .... Then Peter said to them, Repent and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins Peter taught baptism washes away our sins.

The word baptizo is immersion. Nothing else. Sprinkling, pouring are then excluded by definition.

Peter makes it very clear that water baptism does now save us, 1Peter 3:20-21, -who formerly were disobedient, when the divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which few, that is eight souls, were saved by water by water -There is an antitype which...

1Corinthians 15:1-4 is Jesus' gospel. Also Jesus' gospel is Mark 16:15-16. You taught me baptism is not a commandment that must be obeyed to be saved. You claim the Holy Spirit does the commandment keeping, it is not us, not of our doing. Therefore when a believer does not keep Gods...

    Legalism in religion

Paul never taught faith by disobedience to God only believe. Paul taught God only accepts those who obey Him. True Biblical saving faith believes and obeys. Paul teaches in Romans we are not saved by the works of the law of Moses, Romans 4. That same Paul in the same book said the law of...

Obeying Jesus is not legalism. It is love for Jesus, John 14:21-24 ; 1John 5:3 ; 1John 1:4, -he who says I know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.

Hebrews 5:8-9, -though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. -and having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.

We are not debating the philosophy of Charlie24. We are dealing with how Jesus in His Inspired word teaches how one is saved. Bible doctrine. Faith alone salvation plainly contradicts the Bible, James 2:24, -You see then that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. Faith only...

    Legalism in religion

Two commandments? You are then saying God does not require us to love Him in order for God to save us. You give two commandments as the ONLY requirements in salvation. Again that means all other commandments God gives us can be dis-obeyed. Believe in Jesus. You say required commandment. Love...

    Legalism in religion

Faith alone salvation is a gospel that teaches you do not have to obey Gods commandments like water baptism to be saved. This obviously contradicts the Bible, 1John 1:4 -He who says I know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.

Alright, then your gospel teaches we can dis-obey Gods commandments and still be saved. Thus, you were saved by a gospel of salvation through disobedience to God.

Ok, now if faith alone saved you, then it was by faith that you got baptized. Now, could you be saved if you disobey the commandment to be baptized? Would you still be saved without good works?

True saving faith is never alone. It will always taken action. Jesus said He who enters the kingdom does so by water and Spirit, John 3:5. Jesus repeats in His great commission that belief and baptism saves, Mark 16:15-16. Jesus never taught ones faith without obedience saves.
