"In Christ": What does it really mean?

Don't know what you mean exactly, but what I can tell you about the "Christian" audience in general is that there is a dearth of knowledge and understanding on this topic as well as many others.

    Legalism in religion

Never thought about it nor does it matter to me. I simply follow the words of the bible. Call it what you will when one strictly adheres to God's word.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Sorry. That's unscriptural and is actually contrary to scripture.

"In Christ": What does it really mean?

"In Christ": What does it really mean? The words “in Christ” and similar, i.e.; “in Jesus Christ”, “in Christ Jesus”, “in him’, are used ad nauseam within the Christian world with hardly anyone ever giving any thought whatsoever as to what the words really mean or entail, thus relegating them...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

If he was baptized it would have been unto John's baptism. He couldn't have been baptized into Christ because Christ was still alive.

What Are we Getting Saved From?

Isaiah 59:2 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

What Are we Getting Saved From?

Isaiah 55:8-9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts You'll have to ask God why he does what he does.

What Are we Getting Saved From?

It makes no sense and conflicts with scripture. God doesn't play games.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

Just to clarify that we shouldn't obey and be baptized "if we're alive and have the chance", but rather we MUST obey and be baptized, otherwise we're lost. It's not an option.

The thief on the cross misconceptions

To mailmandan: Well, you're very wrong. Mark16:15-16 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Clearly says belief + baptism = salvation 1Peter...

The thief on the cross misconceptions

The thief on the cross misconceptions Post #1 Post Thu Oct 20, 2022 5:10 pm I continually encounter people trying to justify that baptism is not an absolute necessity for one's salvation by use (erroneously) of the thief on the cross as justification, as he was not baptized but yet saved by...

Is the holy spirit a living being Equal to God?

The Holy Spirit is God. No different than our spirit is us, nor some other individual.

    Legalism in religion

It is obedience rather than legalism. Mark 16:15-16 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. To do whst Jesus said, is it obedience or legalism...

Christmas, Easter, Sunday Observance, Is The Church Following Pagan Events?

Easter for sure is pagan. The word in Greek is pascha which translates to passover, nor Easter. Passover coincided with the timing of the pagan holiday and certain translators, such as the KJV, took the liberty to superimpose Easter for Passover.

    Legalism in religion

Not sure what you're looking for or if you have preconceived ideas, but I can only say that everyone should be interested in truth and that's what you'll get at the coC. There are many, many "churches", most of which cannot scripturally tell you how to save your soul which is the primary reason...

Billy Graham, and a new crusade

Billy Graham's message was false and incomplete and is unfortunately being carried on by Franklin Graham. You cannot be saved by saying a prayer nor by inviting Jesus into your heart. It's a false, non-scriptural message/doctrine that provides false hope and no salvation.

    Legalism in religion

Don't confuse legalism with strict adherence to the word of God. If you're looking for the church, see the below and follow the link. 100% scriptural based non-denominational. https://www.church-of-christ.org/directories/churches.html

What Are we Getting Saved From?

Very simple answer: our sins. Upon being baptized into Christ, your sins are remitted according to Acts 2:38. While you're in sin, you're separated from God. By being saved, your sins are forgiven and you are no longer separated from God.
