    Philippians 2:12

There were Christians in Galatian that had fallen from grace, they became lost, no longer a new creature in Christ as in Hebrews 6:6 there were those who had fallen away. (See also 2 Peter 2) What happens in the natural, physical realm does not always coincide with the spiritual realm as one's...

    Philippians 2:12

God required Noah's obedience (build the ark) in order to receive grace (saving of his house). No one capriciously unconditionally receives God's grace, only those that conditionally obedy receives mercy from God. Noah and his house would NOT have been saved had he rebelled against God and...

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

I do not know on what day of the week Paul wrote 1 Corinthian 16 but it does not matter what day he wrote it. What matters is what he wrote and he commanded Christians to assemble and give on the first day of the week. 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 is not fake or fraud.

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

Paul did not single out the Sabbath days alone in Colossian 2:16 so if the Sabbath days are binding then all the OT law is binding. There were false Judaizing teachers in Galatia that lead some Christians away from the NT gospel to the OT law of Moses. Paul's point to them is the the OT law of...

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

Colossians 2:16 shows Paul did have the OT in mind.

    Philippians 2:12

No verse teaches belief only saves.

    Does God know

Yes. Foreknowledge does not require predetermination, that is, just because God foreknows what individuals will or will not be saved does not mean God predetermined it. Before the world began, God predetermined that He would have a class of people unto Himself (Ephesians 1:4-5) and God...

    Philippians 2:12

There is nothing in Psalms 19 that changes the fact that obedience to the will of God does NOT earn God's grace.

    Philippians 2:12

One can become spiritually unborn. Physically one father does not change but spiritually one father can/does change. Before one becomes a Christian the devil is their father yet upon becoming a Christian God is now their father. If one quits obeying God the devil will become his father again.

    Philippians 2:12

Had Noah not built the ark as commanded by God he would not have received God's grace (saving of his house). God's grace hath appeared to all men (Titus 2:11) but all men will not receive that grace for man must conditionally obey God to receive it. My point in bring up Noah and Hebrews 11:7...

    Philippians 2:12

You work to open a present, to open a box does not mean you earned the present. Your work in opening the present though was just a necessary condition.

    Philippians 2:12

No one is born with a sin nature, men are born with equal ability to do what is well or not well, Genesis 4:7. But the remaining issue is those who have allowed them selves to believe in Luther's faith only-ism will not see the difference between obedience to Gods will that does not earn God's...

    Philippians 2:12

No, one earns a paycheck. Noah did not earn the saving of his house but God conditionally required Noah to build the ark so his house would be saved. Would you agree with me that the saving of Noah's house was by grace? If so, then the obedient work Noah did in building the ark could not, did...

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

I can teach one the gospel on a Saturday which is far from me keeping the Sabbath day as a holyday. Paul preached the gospel to the lost every opportunity he had including teaching on the Sabbath and in syngogues. Yet such does not in anyway mean Paul was keeping the OT law.

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

The context in Colossians 2 clearly shows Christ took the OT law out of the way on HIs cross making it of no effect Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" By doing away with...

    Keeping Sabbath not in effect

It does not matter when Paul made the command, the command requires Christians to meet on the first day of the week (first day from Sabbath) to give of their means.

Understanding Romans 6 is critically important

The issue is building the ark (obedience) had to occur before the saving of his house (grace) and the obedient work in building the ark therefore did not earn the saving of his house (grace). Had Noah disobeyed and not built the ark as commanded by God, he and his house would have been lost...

    Philippians 2:12

James 2:21 "Was not Abraham our father justified by works,..." Why kind of works? "... when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?" The kind of works James speaks about are obedient works in doing the will of God. James is not talking about works of merit or works of the flesh or...

    Philippians 2:12

Christ was obedient to God and men are to imitate Christ, do as Christ did therefore not being obedient is un-Christ like. None of the verses you cite eliminate obedience to God but eliminate works of merit, flawless works required by the OT law to be justified. Romans 6:16-18 clearly require...
