Saying Christianity isn't a religion is silly

It’s not salvation by works ALONE, but after we are saved by God’s grace (without works) in our Initial Salvation, we do have to enter the Sanctification of the Spirit (Which is living a holy life, and doing good works, etcetera) as a part of God’s plan of salvation. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 says...

And where is that full saying written in the Bible?

Saying Christianity isn't a religion is silly

But many times those who believe as you do about the regeneration are into promoting secular worldly shows and movies that are sinful. So this merely shows that their belief does not really change them. They are still the old man. We are told to love not the world and neither the things in...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

So you speak against 1 John 3:7.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Update: I had to remove these video from Alan Ballou (that I posted before). While I liked Alan Ballou’s videos before on Sanctification and putting away sin and they were really helpful, the problem is he is a false accuser of the brethren. In the YouTube comment section in this video here...

Saying Christianity isn't a religion is silly

You contradict yourself yet again. You said Christianity is not best defined as a religion and yet even the Bible speaks of a pure religion and you even admit to that. If the Bible uses the word religion in a positive way then it is best to not to speak against that word (Seeing it does come...

Saying Christianity isn't a religion is silly

James 1:27 KJV “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

Saying Christianity isn't a religion is silly

How does one know if they even have a relationship with the Lord? 1 John 2:3-4 KJV [3] “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 4:7-8 KJV [7]...

What Jesus Thought About Secret Societies

John 7:10 ”But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.” Matthew 9:30 “And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.” After Peter, James, and John partook of transfiguration on the...

What Jesus Thought About Secret Societies

The Problems of Perpetual Belief Alone Salvation-ism.

I was not a big fan of the Simpsons or Seinfeld growing up (Although I did see a few episodes of the Simpsons). Comedies or sitcoms was never really my thing. It has been a very long time since I watched worldly shows and I have no interest in watching them because of the sinful things...

    Legalism in religion

We have to follow our instructions. Continue in the Word and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free (John 8:31-32). Other translations say abide. It means we have to keep putting the Word back inside us. You cannot speak against the Word, either (even when we don’t like it).

    Legalism in religion

How do you determine if someone is a son or a bastard? Anyways, with this kind of over confident attitude of being invincible and locked into the kingdom, there is the danger of teaching against the fear of God (which never turns out well for a person). For the Scriptures talk about how there...

    Legalism in religion

As for obeying God as a part of salvation after we are saved by God’s grace: Well, I believe Christians are in a sanctification process (2 Corinthians 7:1). They have to die in a righteous state to make it into the kingdom in the end. See Hebrews 12:14, 1 Timothy 6:12, Galatians 6:8-9...

    Legalism in religion

I agree that baptism for initial salvation is ridiculous for that reason, as well. I also said before that it be unfair of God that he could not save anyone in a desert with no water. It definitely is not in the character of God’s grace and mercy.

    Legalism in religion

To all: Is unfruitfulness and or sin okay if you just believe in Jesus alone? Hosea 10:12 KJV says: “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”

    Legalism in religion

Look friend. This is actually real simple to figure out. Circumcision (OT) is likened to baptism (NT), right? If you read Acts 15:1, Acts 15:5, and Acts 15:24, you would learn that circumcision so as to be initially saved was condemned. In the beginning of Romans 4, Paul talks about Abraham...

    Legalism in religion

I don’t want to be a scribe (scholar) because Jesus said to beware of them. I also did not say that there were two gospels, either. There is only one gospel. I said there are two aspects of salvation. This is because they appear to operate differently.
