@Cristo Rei in answer to all those questions, is the vaccines aren't perfect, they have so far been worked out to have about 90% protection, but they aren't perfect, it's supposed to prevent people from getting seriously ill with covid which has so far worked in Victoria, as shown in the ICU...

As of the 5th of September, another day closer to those targets. Victoria finally has the green tick for 60% vaccinated over 16+ for 1st doses, and we are approximately 2 weeks away from having 70% of the 16 yo and over vaccinated.

Interesting stats for vaccinations for +50 and +70 year olds, this tells us the willingness to receive vaccines has been high among many older Australians, and 80% should most definitely be achieved across the whole Aussie population, it's just a question of when will this be all achieved by.
