I fully agree with both. God's grace is irresistible and it can be resisted. God's grace is irresistible to some now (to ALL later) AND God's grace can and is resisted for the rest only for now.

The Creators' plan was always to make (manipulate) the first humans so an offence took place. They designed and programmed them so that they would offend. And that they did. It wasn't a random act that took Them by surprise, as some have conclude.

It is God Who has chosen to send them to hell. And it is the same God who will redeem them from there and cause them to be reconciled to Himself after they die. This is fantastic news, the Gospel.
