    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

St. SteVen said: 1 John 4:8 NIV Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. So... God is NOT love? 1 John 4:8 NIV Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. [

St. SteVen said: No. But I think my position is coherent. (not on the fence) And I did provide full support. Well... considering the source. - LOL [

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

St. SteVen said: In fact, the Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos) was God. God is love. Agree, or disagree? So... God is NOT love? 1 John 4:8 NIV Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. [

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Right. Most of Christianity claims that the Word (Logos) of God is Jesus. This is incorrect. IMHO Jesus was not the Word (Logos). The Word (Logos) BECAME Jesus. (flesh) [

  6. St. SteVen

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

St. SteVen said: Therefore, Jesus memory of having been with the Father in the beginning was as the Logos (Word) of God. No support? I provided the scripture? The Word (Logos) was in the beginning. The Word (Logos) became flesh. (Jesus) John 1 does not say God was made...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Your replies are all over the place. You don't seem to have a coherent stance. Are you anti-Trinitarian, or aren't you? Ritajanice said: Jesus, imo..has been in existence before the foundation of the world...only not in human form....he was with the word...the word being...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

John 1:1-5 says nothing about the pre-existence of Christ. Christ is not introduced until verse fourteen. Which disproves the pre-existence of Christ. John 1:14 NIV The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

St. SteVen said: As the scripture says: The Word (Logos) was from the beginning. I guess you missed the point... However, I am gland that you understand that the Word (Logos) was the mind (purpose/plan) of God. In fact, the Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos)...

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

Have I convinced you that Jesus was not from the beginning? The Word (Logos) became flesh (Jesus) and dwelt among us. [

Why wouldn't this same logic (anti-logic?) apply to Satan? [
  15. St. SteVen

    Exploring Trinitarian Logic

I have a different understanding of this. As the scripture says: The Word (Logos) was from the beginning. The Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos) was God. The Word (Logos) became flesh (Jesus) and made his dwelling among us. Therefore, Jesus memory of having been with the Father...

That's an interesting view. I still find myself at 180 degrees the other direction, but it's certainly worth consideration. If you have more compelling argument, bring it. Maybe a challenging question? [

attacking another denomination are included in this rule.

It seems that the law of Christ (?) is the societal standard in civilized western community discussion. Transgressors are obvious and usually corrected. I'm making an assumption about what you mean by the phrase "the law of Christ". [

That's an interesting idea. But Moses wrote Genesis. (supposedly) What did the serpent represent to him? Or "sin crouching at the door" for Cain? [

The broad spectrum of Christianity VERSUS the narrow-minded view

You and I are not as far apart on this as I imagined. I have even written about this, but from a different angle. https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/deconstruction-how-far-is-too-far.56703/ https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/take-a-stand-stand-to-gain-or-stand-to-lose.63719/ [

Sarah Adams - Know thine Enemy

The Biden administration has allowed thousands of terrorists to pour across our borders in the last four years. Trump is threatening Hamas with "all hell" if our hostages are not returned before he enters office. (01/20) We already had a couple of incidents on January 01. We may be in for a...
