Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Go back and re-read what I wrote. Here, I'll save you the trouble: I wrote, "The Iroquois have been under matrilinear rule for all of their history." Meanwhile, you provided me with 14 pages about Matriarchy, which mentions the Iroquois in one scant paragraph: "Even the Iroquois, once a...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Some Christians take the Bible literally in every sense. Others take it metaphorically. Still others see SOME parts of the Bible in literal terms, but other parts in metaphorical terms. Just because I don't subscribe to the YEC point of view doesn't mean I'm not a Christian.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

There is Anthropological, archaeological and evolutionary psychological evidence to suggest that most prehistoric societies were EGALITARIAN, and that Patriarchy didn't take root until about 10,000 years ago. More like Patriarchy is not needed just like cancer is not needed. Why? Hmm...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Or perhaps it's YOU who doesn't want to admit that you're wrong? Such as...? Just what 'harm' are you talking about?

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Please understand that Patriarchy has NOT been around for MOST of human history. Would stand to reason that if Patriarchy wasn't around, Feminism wouldn't be necessary either. Define 'traditional' roles.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

The problem with the 'stats' is that the 'stats' don't make a direct correlation to Feminism as the reason why some women are not as happy TODAY that they may have been in the 1970's.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Wynona already named a few well-known leaders. None of those leaders ever said that Feminism's mission is to get women out of the house. She also said that she "feels pretty confident that the movement is mostly antagonistic towards women being homemakers who depend financially on their...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Wynona, you'll NEVER get the full numbers. You'll get estimates, and that's about it.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Ok. I'm glad you mentioned some of the 'leaders' in Feminism. Feminism didn't just begin in the 1800's. Began a lot sooner. And Feminism wasn't regulated to the United States. Feminism has been around for a lot longer than the Americas. But Feminism became more ORGANZED in the 1800's...

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Consider your Original Post: What authoritative stats do you have to show that is "feminism's mission"? How many "leading feminists" are in the world? How many are the "many" that are saying this? From reading this thread in its entirety, I've seen you quote ONE feminist. That's hardly...

    CRAZY weather

I live in Las Vegas, and we usually have relatively mild 'lows' in the winter (40's-50's). But for the past few days, our 'lows' have broken or tied a few historic lows. Just this morning, at around 7 a.m. I woke up to 28 degrees. o_O That's c-c-cold, even for back East!

    Can Priests Forgive Sin?

Jesus bestowed upon all of the Apostles the authority to "bind" and "loose." The authority to bind and loose wasn't only applicable to sin.

    Can Priests Forgive Sin?

Check out Acts Chapter 6. To paraphrase, the Apostles realized the need for assistants. They (the 12) gathered the community of disciples together and told them to select 7 from among them. They chose Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicholas of Antioch. The seven men...

    Can Priests Forgive Sin?

Actually, Peter DID preside over the Counsel at Jerusalem, because Peter presided over the WHOLE church. It was through Peter's vision that the Gentiles be welcomed into the church. While in Jerusalem, it was Peter who first stood up to address the Counsel regarding whether or not the...

    Can Priests Forgive Sin?

Does God mind if idols of 'saints' are worshipped in church?

...or swearing at them, cursing at them, cutting in front of them in line...thinking, 'Hey! the grocery clerk gave me back 10 cents MORE than I should have gotten!...or having a child come up to you and say, "Hey dad..." and you replying, 'Not NOW..." and then never going back to him...Or...

Does God mind if idols of 'saints' are worshipped in church?

YES! But unfortunately, so MANY of us have NO IDEA what it means to "Love your neighbor." Too many put the second Commandment as a DISTANT second, to the point of practically ignoring it. The Bible says that we should put others FIRST. How many of us DO that? I get that SOMETIMES we have...

Does God mind if idols of 'saints' are worshipped in church?

So, is it o.k. to kill...that is, to murder or not? Yup, a Commandment. Yes or no? What about any of Jesus' Commandments? Yes or no?
