A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

This is what I’m asking about; “Because they say that Jesus is a demi-god, their understanding of salvation and atonement is wrong. They say Jesus, who was a perfect Man, died only to atone for the sin of Adam and that, when we die, our death pays the penalty of our own sin. Only some 10,000...

I’m glad you found what works for you. I must say I am surprised you found the answers in the Bible and not a Greek and Hebrew lexicon to tell you what the Bible really means. All kidding aside, you are entitled to your beliefs but you are not Moses bringing the rest of us the law. “here I am...

What’s the point of it all

It might turn out like Israel demanding a king. That didn’t work out so well for them.

What is the affect on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

Purgatory. I haven’t read it in a long time but I think they label it --literal, metaphorical, conditional, and purgatorial

What is the affect on The Fall and The Atonement, if Adam was not the first human?

Four Views on Hell is a good book on the subject

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

I don’t like attacking someone else’s religion but what do you do when someone keeps telling you everyone else is wrong but them? I have to take a long look at what I have been posting in response to @Aunty Jane. I hope in responding to her I haven’t been insulting other people who may share her...

I should’ve cited the source of the comment I posted. I will not fail to do so in the future. Thanks to @Mr E for pointing it out

@Aunty Jane said “ Wrangler is a classic example of someone who can't be told what he does not want to hear.....he has no interest in anything that disagrees with his point of view. Even if you show him scriptures that prove him wrong, he stubbornly refuses to acknowledge them. He cannot answer...

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses that visited me complained that I needed to fix my driveway because it was tearing up their car and said I didn’t care because my car belonged to the county. When I built my house, they complained about all the stairs they had to climb to reach the door. One came who had...

@Aunty Jane said “Belief in an immortal soul, when the scriptures do not teach such a thing, is also a salvation issue because to accept that God would separate some to go to heaven, whilst sending others to a fiery hell to be tortured forever is to insult the character of the loving God...

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

What’s embarrassing is that the issues brought up could be addressed with a simple yes or no but no one seems able to do that. “ “I hope our resident expert in JW dogmas, @Aunty Jane, can confirm the truth of this with a simple 3 or 4 word sentence (and not 12 paragraphs): That is true. That is...

No. I was asking @Aunty Jane why she takes this parable literally. She asked the question of you I just quoted her.

I didn’t post “Questions to ask JWs” I used a statement from that site so answer the questions for your own pleasure if you feel like it, I didn’t post the questions, that’s why I didn’t post the source

A serious questions for the Jehovah's Witnesses on these threads.

@Aunty Jane said “Jesus appointed his “faithful and wise servant” to “feed” his entire household their “food at the proper time”...so we get what we need, when we need it. (Matthew 24:45) Who is that “fairhful and wise servant” to you Wrangler? Will I just hear crickets again?” Why do you...

By Christendom do you mean Christian and does that mean you don’t consider yourselves Christians? Or do you consider JWs the only true Christians?

Why does spirit mean one thing for Stephen and something else for Jesus? What you are describing with Stephen is the new age teaching that we are all part of God and that part goes back to God when we die. Was Jesus just a breath when he was resurrected?
