Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

My religion, denomination, group, community, or whatever you want to call it, is none of your business, as much as I will never ask you yours to talk to you. I speak BIBLICAL LANGUAGE and I hope you speak the same. There is not apartheid in biblical language.

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

Is there any other point on knowing the truth that knowing the truth? I am content that people know that such a name of God I AM is an invention, and that associating it with Jesus does not make any sense. Christians should be mature, informed people who are moved by biblical truth, not fanaticism.

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

It is important to know the truth. A lot of people make an association of a supposed name of God "I AM" with Jesus saying "I am". That is absolutely ridiculous, since that I AM is an invention. God never said "My name is I AM" nor Jesus said "I am I AM".

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

Out of topic. If you said that you called God "I AM" because you think it is an English translation of a supposed Hebrew name of God, then you can call him Jehovah, because is also an English translation of his real Hebrew name. Now you know the truth about that I AM; it is not a name of God...

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

That Hebrew expression, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh, is translated: "I will become what I will become" ... in future tense. It means He would do anything He wants, no matter what. In the LXX that expression is translated: "Ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ὤν". Something like: "I am the being". There is not any "My name is I...

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

Did you know that the Hebrew expression Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh DOES NOT translate "I am who I am" into English?

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

Have you read the full event? Pharaoh never thought that I AM was a name of God, because that was not what God told Moses to say, nor what he meant (Ex. 3:15,16). Nor did the Israelites think that I AM was a substitute for God's name (Ex. 3:18; 4:5). At no time does Moses address God saying...

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

He didn't say: "My name is I AM", did he?

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

Then you accept his name when you read in modern English "I am Jehovah. That is my name" in Isa. 42:8. Right?

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

Are you sure that THAT is what he said there? Remember he was speaking old Hebrew to Moses. Did he said "I AM ..." in English?

Where did they invent that I AM is some name of God?

I don't read in any Hebrew Scripture that God says His name is I AM. Who gave that name to God?

Be born again to be whose child?

I guess it was a somewhat confusing topic for you. In the anonymous religious environment of the internet, where there are dozens of people pretending to be Christians or seriously interested in biblical matters, there is something like a "born again club" believing they are above the rest of...

Be born again to be whose child?

????? Born again Christians are children of God, the Father; brothers of Jesus (the Son of God) according to John 20:17, and ... what about the Holy Spirit?

Be born again to be whose child?

Not a problem; I accept your disagreement. Jesus said some people are honestly thinking they are Christians, but they are not. Honesty does not make feelings truth.

Be born again to be whose child?

My topic is not about Jesus being God or not ... Stop your accusations. My topic is: "BE BORN AGAIN to be WHOSE CHILD?". Are you obsessed with the topic of the trinity? I have seen many out there. So: whose children are born again Christians? Jehovah's? The trinity's? Jesus'?

Be born again to be whose child?

Would it have any value for you if I told you that what it says there is something that I feel? For me it has no value that someone else says it about himself. That statement was said to first century Christians, not to all who call themselves Christians in modern times, although each and every...

Be born again to be whose child?

What I mean with "biblical text" and "arguments that make sense" is something like this: 1) In John 20:17 Jesus calls his disciples BROTHERS, 2) Then he say he is ascending to his Father and their Father; normal, since if they are brothers they have the same Father 3) BUT Jesus says also that...

Be born again to be whose child?

Don't be ... Not biblical text here either. :) Sorry if I don't say AMEN to everything I read.

Be born again to be whose child?

Thanks for quoting the text. It is beautiful. Mormons say they feel the spirit of God when they are reading their other books and feel a heat in their back. I am more of a rationalistic person, not the gullible kind. I am looking for real biblical arguments that make sense, because I don't...

Be born again to be whose child?

I wouldn't say that in my case is "not understanding", since God himself is very interested on making himself enough understandable to everyone, so everyone has the chance to live forever ... I just don't accept any irrational idea people have without even demonstrate it logically with the Word...
