Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

Regarding the Eucharist, St. Paul told this to the Corinthians who did not take the Eucharist seriously: 1 Corinthians 11:34 Anyone who is hungry should eat something at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment. And when I come I will give further directions.

Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

Yes, and they were all men. As I said, Christ only chose men to be His Apostles. And Christ told only His Apostles to do this (Eucharist) in memory of Him. He was not speaking to all His disciples during the Last Supper. He spoke only to the Apostles, and the Apostles were priests and bishops.

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

According to the U.S. Department of Justice: Many studies have found that only a small percentage of homeless people panhandle, and only a small percentage of panhandlers are homeless. (See weblink below on page 6). http://cops.usdoj.gov/files/ric/CDROMs/POP1_60/Problem-Specific/Panhandling.pdf

Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

Christ told St. Peter to take care of His entire flock. John 21:15-17 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." Again Jesus said, "Simon son of...

Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

God does not change. In the Old Testament, God chose only men to lead His flock. In the New Testament, Christ chose only men to be His Apostles to take care of His entire sheep. Jesus came from the line of Melchizedek. As you can see in the Old Testament, it was a priest who brought bread...

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

That is true. It's the same here. I know a few who suffer from mental illnesses.

Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

In the family of God, it is only the male who represents Christ. In a human family, the husband is the Head of the house and represents Christ while the woman represents the Church. In God's family, it is the same. The priest represents God's household....His flock.

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

In light of what you say, I think you are correct in that most of them are con-artists. However, a very small percentage of them are genuine. The fake ones only make it harder for the genuine ones. I guess it is the same with those on welfare and food stamps. There are many who abuse the...

Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

In the Jewish religion, it is the head of the house who conducts and leads the Passover meal. That would be the father. The bishop and priest are considered the "head" of God's family because they represent Christ.

Who Has The Power To Consecrate The Eucharist?

When Christ picked up the bread and said "This is my body" and then picked up the wine and said "This is my blood" and afterwards say "Do this in memory of me," the only ones in that room whom He spoke to were the Apostles. So, He gave the Apostles the authority to "do this in memory of...

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

No, I've never been homeless. But I helped a family who was left homeless by a husband who didn't pay the rent and just left her and the kids. She was unemployed at that time and did not own a car. Her husband took the car. Certainly, it was not that family's choice to be homeless. The...

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

It is not all that simple. Some were not there by choice. Some found themselves to be there because of circumstances beyond their control.

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

If you had read that website I provided in my last post, it showed a pastor who lived as a homeless man for five days. During those five days, he has met real homeless people, who didn't live in an apartment, but who were sleeping on the streets at night. So, there are some homeless people out...

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

It's probably a fake story, but here's a real story of a pastor who went homeless for 5 days, recorded his experience, and delivered a sermon different from the pastor in Angelina's story...

A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

Being a Christian means not judging others, which is what those people in Church did. God will deal with those who cheat others.

Thanks for sharing this. :D I agree.....being a Christian is more than something a person can claim.

    HOMOSEXUALITY REVISITED

I don't see the word "Trinity" in there. I don't even see the "definition or concept" of the Holy Trinity in that biblical verse. This "three" that you quote from the Bible is not even the "Holy Trinity." Let's be honest here. 1 John 5:7-8 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit...

    HOMOSEXUALITY REVISITED

If you can find the word "Trinity" in the Bible as you say, then show it to me. Give me the book, chapter, and verse. And I mean the "word" itself.....and NOT some definition or concept of the word. I want to see the word "TRINITY" in that biblical verse.

    Bashing Protestants/Bashing Catholics

Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox are Christians. All three believe in Jesus Christ and that Christ is God. All three believe in the Holy Trinity. There are differences between all three Christians, which is the reason for some of the disagreements, but there are also many similarities...
