Proof: being born-again is different than being “baptized with the Holy Spirit”

I beg to differ on that. The Apostle Paul clearly establishes tongues as an evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of...

Proof: being born-again is different than being “baptized with the Holy Spirit”

I believe that tongues were the first biblical evidence of people receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit and thus it is the initial meaning first evidence of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Yet personally I believe that speaking in tongues will accompany someone who has received the...

Proof: being born-again is different than being “baptized with the Holy Spirit”

The disciples did not have the Holy Spirit when they believed but had to wait for the fulfillment of the promise at Pentecost (Acts 1:5;8). When Pentecost came the 120 in the Upper Room (including the disciples) were filled/ baptized with the Holy Spirit and the first evidence was speaking in...

Jesus and the Father are two seperate ENTITIES! FOR SURE!

Ephesians 4:4-6 "There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called, one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all!" Here we see that yes they are three distinct persons but they are of ONE. And the...

In Reference To CyBs Statement of Faith - Christian Forum

The only things I wish could be added is "the baptism of the Holy Spirit". But I understand that not all Christians believe in it or have experienced it. So that is just my little 2 cents!LOL!

    Ministerial Credentialing: Biblical?

Yes for the Holy Ghost is the greatest teacher! I'm not bashing or saying that the rules put in place are negative and not helpful but they are simply not biblical. Doctrine is secondary to the Holy Writ!

    Ministerial Credentialing: Biblical?

I agree with wholeheartedly with what you said! Biblicaly there is no foundation for these requirements. I'm not saying that they are not helpful and beneficial but they are not mandated by the Holy scripture.

    Ministerial Credentialing: Biblical?

My question is many denominations place requirements and prerequisites on people seeking ministerial credentials. My question is is it biblical? I have not found any scriptures to support this. The body I belong to the United Holy Church of America (UHCA) ministerial credentialing is as follows...

    The More Excellent Way

I agree with you. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are of some profi and value but the discipline and work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is of more value. A pure heart and spirit by which the gifts may flow easily and purity. Holiness in lifestyle and godliness in spirit are an...

I have a bunch of basic questions

    1. Jesus is the eternal redeemer and savior of all mankind. Yet not all of mankind will accept His sacrifice. Jesus wipes our debt out but until we accept the check we will still be in debt which is sin. After we accept Jesus as Savior we are commanded to obey Him as Lord! Yet many confess the...
