    Polygamy

Ok. That was my bad. Such a statement is not correct. The correct statement if this: Nowhere in Scripture is there evidence that God tolerated polygamy, but was not part of his plan. Because God would've seen into the future anyhow, and if it was outside his plan, it would definitely be a sin...

    Just heard about the rosary....

'cough' If I can just interject here: To use Revelation in support of Mary being our mother is not firm ground upon which I would want to stand. If you read through that chapter, NOWHERE is Mary's name mentioned. And while it fits your bill, it also fits some others! If you read the...

    Polygamy

I have also read of natives being told that they MUST worship the way the missionaries culture did. They have to build the buildings the way they did, they have to sing the songs the way they did. As far as I'm concerned, if a heathen is polygamous, and he comes to God willingly, by NO MEANS...

    Polygamy

Abortion can be quite easily classified under murder, since that is what it really is. Masturbation? I'm not even going to go there since that is another pretty divisive topic. As for gambling, gambling in itself, I don't see anything wrong with it. But the moment it takes control of you, like...

    Polygamy

Hmmm, sort of. lol. In reply to Arnie, while there are plenty of examples of what can go wrong with polygamy, the same happens with your normal marriage as well. We have plenty of cases of abuse in monogamous marriages as well. The OP was is polygamy a sin? All sin is defined in Scripture...

...so what did you have for dinner tonight?

Lol. That sounds really colorful. My day off was composed of: brekkie: nutri-grain lunch: 1/2 steamed chicken, 3 slices of bread, 2 apples dinner: diced lamb and beef with rice Oh, and in-between, I had about 500 grams of chocolate. :P

...so what did you have for dinner tonight?

Hop on ur bike and start cycling non-stop for six hours, and kapow! There goes the calorie excess problem. Say hello to not enough calories! Lol

    Polygamy

I'm not really sure where you're coming from, but I'm driving at this: most men, especially in the Western society, would not prefer polygamy. They may be unfaithful, but not polygamy. If I understand correctly, it's not even legal in many places

    Polygamy

Well, firstly, there is a major difference between divorce and polygamy: divorce is ENDING the marriage. Polygamy is multiple marriages. I would think that most men, especially now in our western society, would be more comfortable with ONE wife, rather than two/three/so on at once. Divorce is...

...so what did you have for dinner tonight?

For dinner tonite, hasn't arrived, but since I'm working, I'll assume lots of greasy fried chicken batter and perhaps some actual chicken. :P

What if your definition of "Good" differs from God's?

Well, I'm probably a bit of an oddball if I state that I thrive on battle and struggle. I think I was born a soldier :P I wouldn't say God created things flawed or imperfect. God created things perfect, but he left them with a free will. We, and the angels, had the option to rebel. And if that...

    Polygamy

On the flip side, monogamous marriage has plenty of it's own problems as well. And that's got many movements decrying it. Doesn't exactly mean that it's wrong. I actually think that monogamy comes more naturally to men.

    Little Guy

I know this little guy, he stands, oh so, about knee high. He’s got the cutest dimples on his cheery face, Got a smile that lights up the whole place. He’s got the knack for chatter, he invites himself if you won’t : “I’ll have that muesli bar please cause my brother don’t.” Suppose to … Keep...

    Polygamy

I've never researched that, but I'm going to make one observation: men are the God-established leader of the family (if there are objections to this, start another thread :P), therefore, a family CANNOT operate with more than one leader anyhow. I think polygamy wasn't actually that common back...

    Polygamy

Well I think statistically, even now, there has always been more women since men traditionally go to war and therefore more men die. I wouldn't be too quick on that last statement. Polygamy is never condemned. Divorce is clearly shown that it's not God's intention. Polygamy is another issue...

    Is Jesus God?

Lost me? Let me rephrase: WANTING to do good is NOT going to save you. You have to actually do it. Wow! So I'm the one dodging? If anyone here is reading through these painfully long discourse, judge and see if I haven't replied to his verses. Sure, I've left alot of them, mainly because I...

    Polygamy

Interesting. :D. The poll was more to do with if it is a sin. Acceptable in our eyes is a completely different matter. The bit about a church elder having one wife, can be also taken as this: he cannot be a divorcee or whatever it is that they are called :P Of course, as I was reading in one...

    Is Jesus God?

Lolz. I posted three verses. You could only be bothered to reply to one. You posted well over ten, all to do with the exact same principle. Why should I keep repeating the same thing? I stated it clearly, that all those verses have the same issue, therefore, the same answer. No, I don't have...

    Is Jesus God?

Wow. If you go to post #466, you'll find in red, i believe, answers that are probably just about identical to the ones I gave you, since all your scriptural support is coming from one theme: the humanity of Jesus Christ. I don't know why you keep going on about the Trinity. I don't believe in...

    Is Jesus God?

Wow. I've had many people give me tongue in cheek comments, and this one just soared towards the top. I explained ur verses point by point. And I'll do it again. Your quotes are in red. In 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 25-28, it says that Jesus, after his reign will hand the Kingdom back to...
