    for me

Perhaps you need to start worshipping God instead of moaning about your circumstances and asking others to pray for your needs and desires. You may be surprised how much that will change your circumstances. Worshipping God yourself, is very powerful in changing your focus.

Are "good" unbelievers dead in the grave like unbelievers and evil people? (John 5:28-29)

Really, all that I did was post the verses from the NKJV and repeated what they teach us. I did not change it to suit my theology as you so often do.

Are "good" unbelievers dead in the grave like unbelievers and evil people? (John 5:28-29)

No, it does not say that. What John 3:16 is telling us is that Believers in Christ will not perish at the time of judgement but will be saved. Those who do not believe in the Son of God will perish in the Lake of fire because they will perish there. Here is what is said in the NKJV: - John...

What does "until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in" mean?

I was giving the verse from memory. The verse I was trying to remember is: - Zechariah 8:23 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go/walk with you, for we have heard that God is with...

What does "until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in" mean?

I have gone back and corrected my post to say Romans 11:25:b which was the part that I provided my English paraphrase for. Your question is provocative in that you are making a suggestion which is contrary to my intent. In that sense this is a false argument. Perhaps, but without the...

What does "until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in" mean?

Hello I would suggest that the way that Romans 11:25b is being translated is not giving the true context of what Paul wrote. Here is how I understand this part of this verse: until the fullness {with respect to time} of the {heathen} Gentiles has come in/been completed. If we consider the...

    The 2nd Death

In Genesis 2;17 God tells Adam that the outcome of turning away from God and not complying with His statutes, that he and those who come after him will "die the second death." In Ezekiel 18 the prophet tells us that the sons will not die for the father's sins, nor will the father die for the...

What's Going To Happen in the Next 4 Years

As a supposed student of the OT, your understanding shows a great lack of understanding. Abraham was more likely to have left Ur when he was around 50 years of age and Noah, his "father" died when Abraham was around 59 years old, according to the Genealogy timeline provided by the Book of...

2 Months and 1/2 Are Left Until the Two Witnesses of Revelation Appear

I noticed that you only copied one small section of my previous post. You condemned my previous post on just one paragraph from my post. It seems that your complaint against me is that I am the one being arrogant in that I believe that I am right but your post suggests that is what you also...

2 Months and 1/2 Are Left Until the Two Witnesses of Revelation Appear

There are people who practice Christianity who claim that they are Christian and there are others who put Christianity into Practice and are willing to suffer, even death, for their beliefs. Arrogance is the hallmark of the Pre-tribbers, as they try to encourage others to save their lives...

has anyone seen my friend, quietthinker? :(

I am afraid that he was wearing the welcome mat out on this forum with a number of members. The forum is better off without his poles and his constant touting of his generated consist repetitive threads on tattooing or piercings or whatever was his flavour for that month. Sadly, other crazies...

Why Hell is not a place of eternal conscious torment.

It certainly does demonstrate how it gets the context so wrong when that is the basis of the "acceptable" translations in your case.

    saying thank you

Ah Fluffy, I am still thanking God that He is still gathering/drawing you to Himself. It is a marvel to see God at work in your Life and the changes that he has brought to gladden your heart and soul. Shalom

Augustine butchered the translation of early scripture, including the word "eonian"

That is the way you want to understand God's Gospel. Your understanding does not line up with God's understanding of His purposes.

Augustine butchered the translation of early scripture, including the word "eonian"

That is the way you want to understand the parable. I do not believe that your understanding is in line with Jesus' words.

What Americans discover when they leave and goto a much better country

It was just a part of life for someone who lived in the country. You saw life and death unfold before your eyes as you walked around your neighbourhood on the edge of a city. You had to dig holes for your pets when they died, in the chook yard, and cover the hole with some sheet roofing to...

How to respond to 13-year-old daughter who declares being gay

For a parent, you can first ask God to include your daughter or son to be included among those whom He is drawing to Himself. Then the next thing you can do is to continually thank God that He has hear your request/prayer and rejoice that He is working on your request to draw your child to...

Augustine butchered the translation of early scripture, including the word "eonian"

In the Parable of Lazarous and the Rich man, the rich man was told that he could not go back to warn his family of the consequences of their life choices. Their faith was decided by their choice to either worship God or not to worship God. After their physical death, their decision with...
