Thoughts about using a KJV update?

The came with a copyright forcing them to be around 50,000 words different from each other by law. It is better to have lice than one of those modern translations...at least you can treat it.

KJV The Pure Word of God?

I see how you read it.... 16 He that believeth and is SAVED shall be saved, THEN LATER BAPTIZED; but he that believeth not shall be damned. But, that is not what Jesus said, is it?

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Lol... You MUST say "and is" 100 times today to get your certificate.... 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Start now...and is, and is, and is, and is.... C'mon, do it.

Paul's brethren did all his baptizing. I do most of the teaching and others do most of the baptizing in the name of Jesus Christ when sinners want to be saved. Same set up.

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

I am KJVO but I don't think using it saves a person. Acts 2:38 is the plan of salvation. But, why use a lousy modern version instead of the best(KJV)?

KJV The Pure Word of God?

The messiah was named by the angel in Matt 1, "Iesous". We say Jesus because it sounds like Iesous. We don't say Yeshua because it sounds like a Chinese skateboard or Chinese sneezing .

KJV The Pure Word of God?

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Your lesson for today....say "and is" 100 times. You will then understand what Jesus said.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Yep, for the remission of sins.

Excellent post. These men are known as Acts skippers, apparent in their arguments against and rejection of those verses.

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Yes, such happens when someone invents a name to replace "Jesus".

Thoughts about using a KJV update?

Exactly. Those that miss the rapture(groom leaves them behind) should have been walking in the Spirit after obeying Acts 2:38. They will have a rough 7 years before getting a chance to see the groom face to face after they miss his catching away per Matt 25. They will also miss the marriage...

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Repentance and confessing are works. Even a human deciding is a work. Get to work.

KJV The Pure Word of God?

These folks think Jesus said "...he that believeth and is NOT baptized shall be saved...". They are really messed up. Great post.

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Acts 2:38 is not grace by definition? Is it Law?

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Jesus had a Greek name..Iesous...Matt 1. You need to get the Greek name down pat. There is no "holy language" from God. Modernists made up a "Semitic" name.

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Iesous to be technical. Jesus sounds like Iesous to God . Yeshua sounds like Yamaha to God.

...and being baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins.

KJV The Pure Word of God?

Exactly. Acts 2:38 is grace. Thank God for it.
