Is Being Catholic And Being Born-Again The Same Thing ?

Very well said. In the Niceane Creed we say all thing sseen and unseen. Thiose thigns unseen are spiritual, but they are no less real than what we can see in the world now. Heaven adn Hell are real, make no mistake they they if anyting are even more real than what we can see.

Be a sinner and sin boldly

Mary is the mother of Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews and he is God because he is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. No I'm not a heretic, what I'm saying is Catholic doctrine and I'm an Anglo-Catholic with the same doctinres and traditions as my Papist brothers and sisters...

Be a sinner and sin boldly

If we're really smelly the only one will be St Ginafore and he was a greyhound. All joking aide though, the smelly peasant thing was a metaphor but with all our sins on us we must look pretty disgusting in the sight of God, which is why so many pray directly to the father and there prayers...

Be a sinner and sin boldly

That's what I thought. I thought that Jesus interceeds for us with God the father but what if he refuses? Then Mary has to interceed for us to him for him to interceed with the father. it's like going to the king to ask for a favour. If you appear before the king's throne as a dirty and...

Be a sinner and sin boldly

You know it frightens me just how easy it is to sin and without even realising it. So we hardly need to go out of our way to create sins for which we can then ask forgiveness for. does not the scriptures tell us that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Even a monk in a...

Be a sinner and sin boldly

OK we can't just go around killing and fornicating like animals but if we constantly try not to sin and we dare not do something for fear that wer might be sinning then perhaps we are forgetting that Christ died to cancel out our sins. We're all sinners anyway becuase we sin without knowing it...

Adam and Eve Did Not Have Free Will!

Adam and Eve had free will but they didn't know very much so that wehn God told them they would die if they ate the fruit, they wouldn't ahve udnerstood the meaning of death because they would never have seen naything die or anything dead becuase they were in an imortal paradise. Then the...

Did Speaking In Tongues Pass Away With The Early Church ?

But my point is that a church where no-one speaks in tongues can be just as spirit filled because there are other gifts liek knowledge, wisdom and piety for exampl, even the fear of God is a gift of the Spirit.

Did Speaking In Tongues Pass Away With The Early Church ?

I've never atended a church where people speak in tongues so I've never seen it happen and yet I've known so many people who are filled with the Holy Spirit and have never spoken in tongues. Neither have I There are those who say that you have not recieved the Holy Spirit if you can't speak...

Is Being Catholic And Being Born-Again The Same Thing ?

Catholic means all encompassing in Greek. All churches that use the ancient creeds say that they believe in the Catholic Church, though it is nothing to do with the Roman Church. Angliscanism is a grey area though, since it is both Catholic and Reformed and many Anglicans myself included do...

The depravity of men (and to what degree it goes)

Does the sin nature change when we are Baptised? XVI. Of Sin after Baptism. Not every deadly sin willingly committed after Baptism is sin against the Holy Ghost, and unpardonable. Wherefore the grant of repentance is not to be denied to such as fall into sin after Baptism. After we have...

    What Chrisitan Expression Are You?

Ecumenism - In the UK we are all for it. Christians are getting to be a real minority as the congregations are aging and dying off so unity is more and more important. I've gone along to RC MAsses and orthodox Divine Liturgy (really beautiful service btw) and I've joined with the Methodists...

    Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?

I said the ancient Jew didn't believe in the devil. I'm talking about Jews that lived a long time before Jesus' time. At the time of Solomon for example they didn't believe in the devil or any kind of afterlife and by Jesus' time the mast majority of Jews did with the exception fo the Sageses.

    Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?

Job was never written by Moses. It was much later on, after Solomon's time. I know that the ancient Jews didn't believe in the devil because he isn't mentioned in the Pentateuch. The Sageses didn't believe in satan becasue they didn't believe in anything outside the Pentateuch.

    Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?

There was a lot of apostacy and idol worship metnioned in the OT but I don't know where there is reffernce to satan worship. The Ancient Jews didn't even believe in the devil, that's why he isn't even mentioned until Job.

    Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?

I watched the viedo and I'll admit; it made me think about symboloism but I think it is a little one sided as it makes a lot of assumptions and generalisations that can't provide us with a true and accurate picture However, I must say that some of it was sobering to say the least. But here's...
