    FASTING

Yeah, that's why I think it is a person's own choice. When people fast before Holy Communion jsut because just because the church say's they should then they are not ding it for the right reason because they would be too busy grumbling abotu it and not thinking of what it is suppsoed to be.

Scriptural proof that Jesus was NOT "fully God"

If Jesus wasn't fully God then how could his deatha dn ressurrection atone for OUR sins?

    FASTING

It think fasting is soemthign every Christian should try at least ocen. It should be enouraged but only sensibly and should never be imposed on anyone. So on fasting I agree with Haldrych Zwingli who was sick of the church bossing people about during lent and he said, "OK if you want to fast...

Scriptural proof that Jesus was NOT "fully God"

This is how it works: God or our Godhead is in three persons; Father, Sona dn Holy Spirit. Now Jesus is the name that we use for the Son who was BEGOTTEN FO TEH FATHER BEFORE ALL WORLDS, THROUGH HIM ALL THINGS ARE MADE. OK , so Jesus who is the SON right? was part of the Trinity right from...

Scriptural proof that Jesus was NOT "fully God"

yeah right, like the Pentecostals have a monoply on the Holy Spirit. They all fake speaking in toongues and push onenanother over. I've heard about people who would speak in tongues the same time every Sunday morning and you could set your watch by them. Make no mistake, the Holy Spirit has...

Scriptural proof that Jesus was NOT "fully God"

All of them All of them ALL OF THEM Churches that don't have creeds are on a dangerous path becuse their belief is unstrcutred and unfocussed adn they question things that should be seen as a given.. This is what you get if you rely souley on scripture. Oh and BTW the Holy Spirit did not...

Scriptural proof that Jesus was NOT "fully God"

I can't believe this is even up for debate since it is such a fundimental Christian belief. Jesus is not half and have he is fully human and fully divine. If you are in any doubt then read the Niceane Creed.

    Damned for not agreeing

Over the last few years I've come to really dislike Clavin and Luther, though some of what they did an dsaid was neccessary. I liked Haldrych Zwingli a lot more but I have to be totally honest and say I'm not a fan of the reformation.

    About heaven..

Well alrgiht, there are those old Testiment prophets which Christ brought up to Heaven possibly from Sheol, but the general rule of thumb I think is that Heaven and Hell coem after the final judgement, purgatory is before and Limbo, that coudl be bfore or after I suppsoe.

    About heaven..

Heaven obviousley exists right now, but are there any humans there yet? No pmostl likely not, they'll ge tthere after the aslt juedgement. The same I think goes for Hell. I do also believe in Purgatory though, and I think that people get sent there once they die and are then allowed into...

    Evangelical Anglicans

Our church does have a lot of young peopel but not in the Sunday service. They go to Youth chruch groups held on Fridays. So if you count them as part of our congregation and we do, then I'd say about a third of chruch members in my parish are under 20. Now for the sad news; on Sunday...

    Evolution?

At the end of the day there needs to be some give way on both sides. We need to remind ourselves that there is evidence that the world is older than 6,000 and aside from evolution there is overwhelming evidence for the earth being odler than 6,000. As Aspen rightly pointed out that the Genesis...

    Evangelical Anglicans

I'm an Anglican but I'm more a a sacramental, having more in common with Roman Catholic belief and tradition than my evangelical brethren. I don't know if your talking specifically about members of the Episcopal Church of the United States, the Church of England or the Anglican Communion in...

    Evolution?

I think you put that very well Aspen. I ususally claim to believe in both but have trouble balencing them. For many Christian, myself included the account of the fall of man given in Genesis is essential to one's faith in Christ. What I mean is that we have to believe that man and subsequently...

Second Coming of Jesus on May 21 2011?

Well, here I am still here. We must all be terrible sinners round here becuse I havn't seen anyone floatingupto Heaven yet. I'm looking out for flying pigs as well.

    Is being Nice important?

Being Nice is important although I'd like to show a distinction between being nice and being good. For example there are a lot of manipulative people out there who will use niceness to get what they want and soem of them may be passive aggressives, so you don't have to be good to be nice...

    Catherine or Audrey?

    Miss Hepburn

It must be an American thing. I've heard people say good things about me ins speeches and presentations but I've never ehard of a live person having atribute. If soemone made a tribute thread for me I would be saying, "hold up, I'm not dead." However I too feel that Miss Hepburn is an...

    Miss Hepburn

People who have tributes made to them tend to be dead. When I first noticed this thread I became sad because I thought a member of the forums had died but now it seems quite evident that she is definately still alive.

    Miss Hepburn

Sorry but when I first looked at the thread I thought she'd died. Sorry Miss Hepburn, but it did seem a bit odd to me.
