The Bible and The American Revolution

So, for the sake of fulfilling "prophecy," Jesus commanded the Twelve to sin by telling them to buy two swords.... Questionable theology at best! The concept that Jesus went around with a checklist of prophecies to fulfill, is in my opinion; absurd. This prophecy was fulfilled on His...

The Bible and The American Revolution

So, let's isolate this to the American Revolution. First, there were Colonies, not the United States. Each Colony had its leaders. Were Christians supposed to obey their leaders? Their Leaders decided that they would be independent of English authority. So, where is the sin? Christians fought...

The Bible and The American Revolution

Did you forget that it was Jesus that commanded him to get that sword? And, for what purpose?

    Bible alone?

Since you think that someone has to defeat an article (appeal to authority, tossing the elephant, fallacy of overwhelming), I would like to toss an elephant back in your direction: Have fun! http://www.reformedonline.com/uploads/1/5/0/3/15030584/refutation_of_roman_catholic_view_authority.pdf

    Bible alone?

The utter arrogance to think that if someone knows that the Bible does not agree with Roman Catholicism, that they are somehow a "bigot!" And even more absurd is the suggest that by birth, one is born believing or favoring Roman Catholicism! Surely, someone has to be completely ignorant and...

    Bible alone?

So, if a Non-Catholic becomes a Roman Catholic, and has a change of mind... isn't that a case of Roman Catholic Brain-Washing? Surely, being convinced that "Biblically speaking" Popes exist, nuns exist, that Mary was always a virgin or the assumption of Mary, and bowing to idols is "Christian,"...

    Bible alone?

Yet, it is fun to watch the Romanist engage in a "one-legged" man in a butt kicking contest hopping around in a circle! :p

    Bible alone?

The Roman Catholic Church includes many books that I do not accept as being in the Bible, and the vast majority of printed Bibles don't have those books either! Very few people accept the books that the Church of Rome adds as "Scripture" except those of the Roman Cult.

    Bible alone?

The reason why the Popes can't marry (apparently besides Peter who was married) is that everyone knows that if you are married, your wife will tell everyone how imperfect you are!

    Bible alone?

No amount of "hierarchy" can supersede the Word of God that knows NOTHING of the existence of Popes, nuns, indulgences, praying to dead people, any farce such as a perpetual virginity of Mary, or any unbiblical fiction such as the assumption of Mary, or any other Mariolatry. When "hierarchy"...

The Bible and The American Revolution

Every nation was born in sin once a human ruler was exalted.

The Bible and The American Revolution

So, Christians should welcome, and not resist when someone shoots up a Church during Sunday Morning Services.... Hmmmmm. Is there any room for the concept of justice and righteousness?

The Bible and The American Revolution

And do you look to the Scriptural examples of where our Eternal God, yesterday, today and forever that commanded His people to take up arms to gain land, and to defend their life and protect their beliefs in God? Does this Scripture factor into what God intends?

The Bible and The American Revolution

Yes! It would be even more "just" than the American Revolution. The one factor that I believe is being ignored is the concept of "justice." Yes, it is a messy thing, as I gave the example from the Civil War. Simplistic answers are rarely answers that meet with real life. I would be comfortable...

    Perpetual virginity of Mary!

This has as much proof as saying that because she sits on God's right hand. He has to be left handed!
  16. Candidus

    Perpetual virginity of Mary!

Do you realize that no matter what someone says is true concerning the virginity of Mary apart from Scripture, has no bearing whatsoever to support an absurd assumption? 1). The Scriptures never claim it. 2). The Scriptures speak of Jesus having brothers and sisters. You can dodge the issue...

    Perpetual virginity of Mary!

Because the teachings you follow, are not Scriptural! As I said before, there exist many deviations from Biblical Christianity, even in the first two centuries. You can appeal to tradition, but not Scripture. Yes, it was an early opinion, from a writing that has been rejected by the vast...

Mask Control: Prove COVID-19 exists...I dare you!

I didn't know that Biden was a Jewish Rabbi!

    Perpetual virginity of Mary!

I know, Roman Catholic opinions are not Scripture. Thanks for proving too much!

    Perpetual virginity of Mary!

Both Calvin and Luther were Biblical Morons in some areas. Thanks for proving too much again!
