    Discerning : The Water Cults

ahhh questions, questions from you but no answers... ok one more.. Though I say to the virtuous man that he shall surely live, if he then presumes on his virtue and does wrong, none of his virtuous deeds shall be remembered; because of the wrong he has done, he shall die. And though I say...

Giving others freedom to think and believe differently

Oh don't feel bad, it prompted some deep introspection in me... I'm glad you asked it! Just so I'm clear, I'm not talking about the hell of the damned, whatever that may be, But about that final cleansing of my heart. 'only the pure in heart can see God' Where do I still build it my way and...

Indeed the works of 'the law' will avail one nothing. They have been fulfilled in Christ. Why go back to shadows? An interesting metaphor, but it works.. As I said, the sacraments are Jesus' work, not ours... No one can baptise themselves.. But works of charity, now, those we do indeed need...

Dear April, Thank you! You said that purgatory was a lie and not in the bible. I was pointing out that Paul says we will be purged. That is what purgatory is.. The burning away of anything not of God, so that we may stand before Him! Our God is a consuming fire.. Shall we not embrace...

Giving others freedom to think and believe differently

Hi April, Have you considered 1Cor 3: 12-15 If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire (itself) will test the quality of each one's...

    Discerning : The Water Cults

Can one who knowingly rejects the Grace of God still be saved? Do you not think that a much worse punishment is due the one who has contempt for the Son of God, considers unclean the covenant-blood by which he was consecrated, and insults the spirit of grace? Peace!

    Discerning : The Water Cults

Well of course we do. But as so many here like to point out.. The water, itself, isnt really whats important but the Spirit acting in the sacrament! And thus, as it has been from the time if the apostles: 1. Concerning baptism, baptise thus: Having first rehearsed all these things, "baptise...
