The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

A Jesuit is a Catholic priest who is a member of the Society of Jesus, which is a religious order that was founded in the sixteen century and is today headquartered in Rome. (Jesuits are highly intelligent and it takes about ten years of full-time study to become one.) CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

You make a valid point - after all, the “woman” who rides the beast in Rev 17 is not a literal woman. However, not all the characters in the book of Revelation are symbolic - many of them are literal. For example, I think you would agree that the “saints”, the “elders”, the “inhabitants” of...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

I don’t know of any Catholic doctrine that isn’t referred to in scripture - but even if a Catholic doctrine had no scriptural support whatsoever, I would still accept it as the infallible word of God, because the CC is the “fullness” of Christ (Eph 1:22-23) and the “pillar and foundation of the...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Firstly, it is not up to me to do you homework for you - you made the claim that Thomas Aquinas approved of the death penalty for heretics, so the onus is on you to cite an example. Not providing the evidence and passing the buck does nothing for your credibility - it just makes you look like a...

Stop using logic that even a child could understand!

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Your mistake is to assume that your interpretation of the scriptures is the primary source of truth. That is an antichrist fallacy introduced by heretics who are unwitting servants of Satan. Where do the scriptures say the Bible is the "fullness" of Christ? Eph 1:22-23 says the CHURCH is...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

No, he doesn't see - he's afraid to open his eyes and mind to the truth.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

I would say you are afraid that woman can be Mary and that therefore the Catholic Church is right. There is no "superimposing" - rather, there is super-denial on your part. Why are you afraid of the truth?

The woman is described as giving birth to Jesus. Who gave birth to Jesus? You only get one guess.

So is Israel and so is Mary.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

The "women" has three identities, but all the descriptors need not apply to each identity. For example, the whole description doesn't apply to Mary, yet Mary is obviously identified in the mix.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Wow, talk about denying the words of scripture. Not a great recipe for arriving at the truth. Face it, you are wrong and the Catholic Church is right.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Are you serious? Rev 12:5 says the woman "bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.". This male child is obviously Jesus. Who gave birth to Jesus? Tough question, I know, but just do your best.

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Your church is about 2000 years out-of-date. Saturday worship is a Jewish tradition - the Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, changed it to Sunday (the day of Jesus’ resurrection), and the power to change the day was granted by Christ himself: “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Which Catholic doctrines are “pulled out of thin air”? The Church is the “fullness” of Christ (Eph 1:22-23), therefore Catholic doctrines are Christ’s doctrines. Is the SDA church the “fullness” of Christ?

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Please provide an example of what you mean from the writings of Thomas Aquinas. Incidentally, did you know that the opinions of individual Catholics and Catholic doctrine are not necessarily the same thing? So when the blood-thirsty, antichrist religion of Islam invaded Christian Europe, what...

The Jesuits ... What is their role? Part 1 and 2

Your argument is amateurishly flawed and fails. First of all, you make the assumption that Jesus mentioned every book that refers to him in the OT, which is not necessarily what Jesus said. Secondly, you assume that only the books that Jesus mentions are the totality of the OT canon. Says...

Are all believers called to evangelize?

Of course all believers are called to evangelize. You don't need any official position to spread the good news and explain your faith to others.

Believe that or not, I used to hold similar anti-Catholic views to yours .. but then the Holy Spirit opened my eyes and mind to the truth of the Catholic Church - the apostles' Church.
