    Three Days and Three Nights

Perhaps someone new looking in may know of examples.

    Three Days and Three Nights

Let me change the wording which apparently may be causing confusion with regard to the the topic's issue. There are some folks who think that the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with the resurrection taking place on the 1st day of the week. The Messiah said that He would be...

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Just so it's understood that scripture never refers to the 1st day of the week as the Lord's Day.

    Three Days and Three Nights

Cooper, re: "Those scriptures are correct." Correct with regard to what? re: "If memory serves, part of a day counts as one Onah. An Onah is a whole day." That is an issue for a different topic. Perhaps you might start one.

    Three Days and Three Nights

Cooper, re: "Here are some examples from scripture of three days: 1Sa 30...Gen 42...2 Chr 10....Esther 4 [and] 5...Matt 27..." There is nothing in the 1 Samuel 30 account which precludes at least a portion of each one of three daytimes and at least a portion of each one of three night times...

    Three Days and Three Nights

What is your point insofar as it applies to examples which show that it was common to forecast or say that a daytime or a night time would be involved with an event when no part of a daytime or no part of a night time could occur?

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

What proof do you have that the continuity of the weekly cycle has been interrupted at some point between the time of the Messiah and now?

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

But again, what difference does it make what you call it? Call it 'Bob' and it's still the seventh day.

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

But how has that changed the continuity of the weekly cycle?

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

What does that have to do with Colossians 2:16?

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Any particular reason for posting that verse?

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

What difference does it make what the seventh day of the week is called? The seventh day of the week is the seventh day of the week.

Davy, You still have 3 questions directed to you in post #1289.

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Ziggy, OK, so you don't base your assertion on any actual evidence. Your position seems to be held due to the idea of calendar changes. I wonder if you might explain why you think that calendar changes have affected the continuity of the weekly cycle?

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Ziggy, re: "SO WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE WHAT DAY IT IS? We have NO CLUE. Maybe God will send manna again and teach us all over again exactly which day is the 1st and the 7th." So to support your comment, what documentation are you using which shows that the seven day weekly cycle...

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

Davy, re: "Like Colossians 2 shows, not to judge any man according to holy days or the sabbaths." Not to judge about what with regard to holy days or the sabbaths? re: "Acts 2:46 is just more proof of that." I don't understand. More proof of what? re: "You can keep to the Jew's sabbath...
