Abuse Is Not A Reason For Divorce

If the abused spouses won't leave the children need removing . If i were their pastor I absolutely would escalate things with child and family dept. Of social services.

    Physician Assisted Suicide

I mean. It's an understanddable sellfishness in a way. I just worry if the law were changed to allow it far more widely, what could we end up with? Best to keep it case by case I think. It is , as a previous poster said, not a black and white issue. I did feel for Kay Gilderdale, I am not...

    Physician Assisted Suicide

and persuading a loved one to arrange a doctor to kill you seems so selfish

    Physician Assisted Suicide

I couldn't do it. Kill someone even if they begged me. I would be putting myself in place of God. I actually think it's an awful burden to put on a loved one, to ask you.to end their life. I have been suicidal. I have been seriously chronically ill. I do understand what it is to wish to die...

Do Christians have to forgive everything no matter how bad the sins?

You can forgive them but forgiving doesn't mean you have to be in contact with them. I'm a survivor of abuse and getting away helped me heal.

Abuse Is Not A Reason For Divorce

Yes. I agree. any kind of abuse including that is fair grounds for divorce. I know my view may not be Biblical in the strict sense but I know Jesus hated divorce because of the effect it can have on the innocent involved. How much more does he grieve when abuse happens in a marriage?

Sorry that should read "I don't see anything inappropriate here!"

Trolling, Why Do People Do It?

I like your music video. I don't see anything appropriate here. Why is country or rock music treated like something evil by many Christians ? I don't get it

Abuse Is Not A Reason For Divorce

I was a child from a marriage like that except both the parents were believers . It almost destroyed me with CPTSD and caused me to hate anything to do with God for a long long time ... Even two decades after coming back to God and being born again I had a huge amount of unlearning to do. I...

Abuse Is Not A Reason For Divorce

If I were a pastor or therapist or counsellor I would be advising the abused spouse and children to leave and be safe. Even if it means moving far away and changing identity.

Abuse Is Not A Reason For Divorce

God doesn't want us suffering any kind of abuse in a marriage. It's all wrong. I guess one could leave and not divorce legally. Leave, hide out, go somewhere ex partner can't find you. If there are children in there not grown yet they need taking out of that situation

Can you be pro-choice and still be a Christian?

I can't accept abortion because it involves the shedding of innocent blood... Family planning, I agree with. Deciding how many children you want I don't thing is wrong although I also respect the idea of just letting God decide too (if you are healthy and strong that is. I don't think God...

Masculinity isn't toxic--- our culture is

Yeah, I've noticed that in sitcoms too. Men being treated like they stupid buffoons. I hate it. I think sexism goes both ways, and I think it's always wrong.

Masculinity isn't toxic--- our culture is

It's a personal choice, isn't it? Whatever you feel comfotable with. I don't wear much make up these days but I love jewelelry.and gypsy hippie sort of styles, long flowing skirts, sandals, bracelets and fancy handbags. I love how God created us all different with different tastes and styles...
