Can men with man buns be saved?

I have been a Christian for well over 70 years having been baptised by immersion in 1951. Whilst I was away doing my National Service my original assembly imploded in controversy to the degree that, when I was demobbed, I tried in vain to settle into another place of worship. Eventually I...

Can men with man buns be saved?

I see no mileage in perpetuating this 'He said - I said' confrontation.

What I believe about the Atonement

The way I see the question of ‘sin’ and its 'atonement' is as follows: Firstly, we all have an inherently sinful nature that needs to be atoned. Secondly, we then all commit actual acts of sin once we reach our own unique age of discretion, and those acts of sin also need atonement. Then I...

Can men with man buns be saved?

I guess that you must be ‘young in the faith’, either in terms of ‘time’, or in terms of having spent your fellowship in the shielded environment of a very narrow minded ‘sinless perfectionist’ sect. You jump to your cherry picked verse to prove that the reason why so many scriptures appear to...

Can men with man buns be saved?

I too could quote cherry picked scriptures which refute yours. Indeed scriptures can invariably be cherry picked which undermine scriptures that underpin contrary convictions. It's the essence of the plenary Biblical standpoint.

Can men with man buns be saved?

Well just to prove a point, I have commited the sin of unbelief by not believing that to be the sin that doth so easily beset me. But I believe everything else so perhaps I can be excused.

Can men with man buns be saved?

@JunChosen So are you telling me that because I hadn't "read on for a couple of verses" Christians can continue to commit adultery as defined in Matthew 5:28 and still be saved and enter the Kingdom of God? And is the same 'passport' available to Christians who also continue to commit some of...

Can men with man buns be saved?

I can't be bothered to read the whole of the thread but my thoughts turn away from peripheral stuff like 'buns', and onto "the sin that so readily besets men", such as 'adultery" as defined by Matthew 5:28, and which bars entry in the Kingdom of God, as per 1 Corinthians 6:9. Can such an...

    PHOTO THREAD.

I'm praying for those in lockdown in high rise apartments with no gardens. I am so blessed to have the garden pictured where, sitting in my lounge, I can watch the blue tits nesting where you see the white circle just under the garage eaves.

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

Since I can hardly recall an occasion when contributors do not "stand by their convictions" I conclude that either: 1) All are wrong. 2) All except one are wrong. Hands up those who think they are the exception. (Whoops, I overlooked the likelihood that all hands will be raised)

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

Dear Chris Sorry for my cynicism but there seems to me to be at least 14 different 'versions' of the 'verbally inerrant' New Testament regarding the vital importance of the word 'and' in Galatians 6:16. EHV Peace and mercy on those who follow this rule, namely, on the Israel of God. GW Peace...

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

One would be forgiven for thinking that God Himself, physically with his own hand, wrote only one verbally inerrant 'version' of the New Testament in Shakespearean English.

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

@Tong2020 post #35 "You may hold to that position if that is your conviction." What incredible magnanimity.

The "Israel of God": Who are they?

Nothing, but nothing, serves to divide Christians more dramatically than the 'Bible'. Maybe Christianity would be better served if a stop could be called at the point where Christ is said (in the 'Bible' ;)) to have returned to His Father's side and sent The Holy spirit to by our guide...

This was my 1936 Excelsior Manxman. It was one of Excelsiors original works bikes, registered EXL452, and raced on the Isle of Man. Foolishly I sold it when I was young without realising its appreciating value had I kept hold of it.
