Just didn't want you guys to think I'm ignoring you...I'm not. Holiness is not an option in His eyes....gotta walk it...not just talk it. Pray for me please...however He leads...that I might walk with Him in holiness. I'm not much use to Him otherwise.

I'm trying to be careful what I say. Lots of triggers....lots of switching going on. In the midst of it all , remember the Lord started this battle. He will end it...he has a purpose for it. Keep your eyes on the Captain of the Host. Jercho's walls are coming down...

It seems the battles have begun. Just try to remind ourselves, over and over, as often as it takes - He has already won. The battle is for our minds, and our belief.

I wonder if anyone else is feeling confused? The "fog of war" is a concept coming to mind.

By the way, I didn't get that from my own study either. That circumstance in 1st Samuel 23 was brought to my attention by Dr. Michael Heiser. Not sure if you might have heard of him, but he's an interesting resource for anyone that wants to really study.

I'll leave you to work out the implications, but at least in this case, God's perfect foreknowledge...didn't happen. The actual outcome was determined by a man's free will choice.

So, in spite of God's perfect foreknowledge, Saul never besieged Keilah, and the men of Keilah never handed David over to Saul. God "forknew two things...that never happened.

David did what most would do, he CHANGED his mind about staying in Keilah, took his men and fled. Saul heard about that, and decided to turn the army around and went back home.

1 Samuel 23:13 NKJV — So David and his men, about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. Then it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah; so he halted the expedition.

Notice. God positively "foreknew", that Saul was coming to besiege the city, and He "foreknew" that the men of Keilah would turn David over to Saul. Funny thing is NEITHER of those things actually happened!

1 Samuel 23:9-12 NKJV — When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod here.” Then David said, “O LORD God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake. “Will the men of Keilah...

Watch what happens next. :) Next thing is David finds out what Saul is doing (spies on both sides must have been many). Anyway, David finds out Saul is mobilizing the army to come after him and his men. So he decides to ask the Lord what is going to happen, and the Lord tells him. David...
