    The Trinity is NO lie.

On Gods nature in general. Yes that there is a plurality w/in the Godhead. Also each 'person' being involved in creation, the resurrection of Jesus....and other attributes of God that each possess.

    The Trinity is NO lie.

Tertullian didn't live in the first century but the late 2nd and early 3rd. He merely coined the term in his works; Against Praxis and On Modesty. Its always been a doctrine as it describes Gods nature. The trinity can be found in over 700 verses from Gen 1 through Rev 22.

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Youre leaving out an important part of Rev 12. It doesn't merely say 'woman clothed with the sun' it says 'I saw a SIGN of a woman...'. Thats important because signs aren't literally the thing they designate. Signs point to something else. When you drive to chicago, eventually you'll see a sign...

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

The term 'roman' occurs a little earlier than the 16th century. In Unam Sanctum 1302 the pope said that submission to the 'roman pontiff' was necessary for salvation. Also, the current ccc uses the term 'roman' over 30 times. They obviously don't have an issue using the term. And i understand...

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Theres a lot wrong here which i can detail later. But for starters regarding doctrinal development (which itself is a development) which apostle taught marys assumption? Youre the one arguing it has to be there for there to be a development in the first place. So who taught it? We'll wait.

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Nothing trolling about what i say. My posts are direct responses to what others have to say. If one person can make a blanket statement i can too. And i can back it up. Was there a catholic church in the first century? Sure, the universal church. Was there a roman catholic church in the first...

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Of course there is a roman catholic church. Its the latin rite of that branch. There are zero distinctly roman catholic doctrines of dogmas in the bible. None. So youre asking about a break, i'd be asking for the teaching. What they teach today is found nowhere in the bible. To be apostolic...

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

You said this; Now if by catholic church as in universal, i'd agree. If by catholic you meant roman catholic then i disagree. It sounded to me like you meant roman catholic. And i also disagree that that church as any 'really nice teachings.' Any church that blasphemes God on a daily basis...

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Absolutely. The true church is the ekklesia. All of the called out ones, which are all born again where ever they are. There simply was nothing like the rcc until centuries later.

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Sorry but the rcc wasn't around for hundreds of years post apostolic age. There is no papacy in the n.t or priesthood. None of it is there.

MARK 6:3 DID JESUS HAVE BROTHERS AND SISTERS ? *****

Jesus is the rock, not an institution. Interesting though most catholics think Peter is the rock. That too is incorrect. 1Cor 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold...

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

In all my years of bible study i can honestly say i've never uttered those words or studied that way. I think the best way to study scripture is what Paul told Timothy in 2 Tim 2:15 "Study...." its the first word depending on your translation. There is a lot packed into that one little word...

Is Dispensationalism a valid way to interpret scripture?

How do you repent of 'future sins.'? Just curious. I don't know anyone that believes this. Are those people really out there that believe they never sin again?

    The GREAT commission

Bingo! Or anyone listed in Heb 11.

    The GREAT commission

Do you know what a figure of speech is? He is not using a figure of speech. He says plainly 'I didn't come to baptize, but preach the gospel.' He makes a clear delineation between baptism and the gospel. If water baptism were necessary it would be included in the gospel. Its not. Secondly, I...

    The GREAT commission

This is what Paul says. 1 Cor 1 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel. He differentiates the gospel and baptism. If baptism were necessary (and its not) then he would not have made this claim. Cornelius was saved the second he placed his faith in Jesus and he was...

    The GREAT commission

If baptism saves, why did Paul say at one point; I'm glad I baptized none of you? I came to preach the gospel...Cornelius wasn't baptized when the Holy Spirit fell on him. No water baptism necessary there either. Works and rituals don't save, believing does. Baptism is the step of obedience we...

What's with this thing called THE APOCRYPHA?

One last thing then from the council of trent; session 4 Cursed by God are those that do not accept their 73 books. I reject their apocrypha yet i know i'm saved and know where i'm going. Have a good one.

What's with this thing called THE APOCRYPHA?

The catholic canon IS necessary for your salvation according to them. Its dogma. Gods inspired word is either the 66 books that we have or the 73 that they have. Can we hear our shepherds voice or not? And i don't mean to imply anything regarding you. Not my intention. Seemed that you were...
