    Paranoid Christianity

@Grams that was a great post. And I totally agree. My only reservation with all of that is that some people take it so far as to throw the Old Testament out, and I think that's a travesty. We're no longer under the Jewish OT law, but there are still a lot of aspects about the OT that are very...

Why nobody understand the Three Angels Message

So epistle greetings are the only thing that qualifies? I already gave you a ton of examples in the letters to the churches in Revelation where Jesus, Himself, dictated for them to listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. And just to clear up something you said, the trinity doesn't mean...

Kingdom of God is Within You

So does this mean you don't believe there is a such thing as a spiritual realm? You don't believe in unseen angels and demons? Where exactly is Jesus right at this moment? In our hearts? So is there a man living inside our bodies, or what? Where exactly is the throne of God that Jesus is at the...

    Hebrews 6:1-6

Haha. I have all kinds of thoughts going through my head right now, but I can see it would be fruitless to continue, and I'm worn out right now. I've had a pretty rough couple of weeks. So I'll let you have your thread, and just be thankful that you and I are saved and part of the family of God...

Why nobody understand the Three Angels Message

The thing you're not getting is that the persons of the trinity are not in competition with each other because they are one. There is one God who shows Himself in three persons, just like we are made in His image, and we have a spirit, soul, and body. The very Hebrew word for "God" is a plural word.

Why nobody understand the Three Angels Message

Yeah, I can give you a ton of scriptural evidence that the Holy Spirit is a person. Rev. 2:7,11,17,29 and Rev. 3:6,13,22 all say that the Spirit speaks to the churches. What makes you who you are is your soul, which is made up of your mind, will, and emotions. That makes up your personality...

    Paranoid Christianity

So you pretty much don't take anything in the Bible literally then. I think there will be a lot that you and I disagree about, and since you can't take the Bible literally, there is really no platform to stand on in any discussion.

    Paranoid Christianity

People might learn to understand your perspective more if you could stick with the discussion and clearly answer specific questions without evading them by going on wild, philosophical tangents. Just answer me this one thing, do you believe Jesus came in the flesh and literally died on the...

    Paranoid Christianity

Lol. Well, first you need to answer my questions in my last post before I can really spend a lot of time on anything. But what in the world does your last statement have to do with what we were talking about? I believe in the work of God's Kingdom in us and on the earth today. I believe in...

Why nobody understand the Three Angels Message

So there is no trinity? It's interesting that when Jesus was baptized, the Father spoke from heaven and said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased," and the Holy Spirit descended like a dove, and you see all three persons of the trinity together all at once. There is so much in the...

    Paranoid Christianity

I have no idea where you're coming from. Do you believe that Jesus literally died on the cross, or not? If you do believe that, why in the world would He do it if it wasn't really needed? If you don't believe He literally died on the cross, then I really have no way to converse with you because...

Will The Second Coming be Televised?

Man, Matthew 24 is a big chapter that talks about a lot of stuff. Most of the chapter up until verse 28 is talking about the tribulation period, and Jesus even uses that word in the passage. Obviously, there will be a lot of very public events during that time. Jesus mentions Daniel's...
  13. forrestcupp

    Paranoid Christianity

I'm not following you here. Are you saying that Jesus didn't die as a sacrifice for our atonement? He didn't die for our sins, but scripture is pretty clear that He died because of our sinful state. The NT is also pretty clear that a lot has changed. Ephesians talks a lot about how the dividing...

    Paranoid Christianity

God's heart has never changed, but our ability to access God's heart has changed. Jesus paid the price to reconcile us to the Father. We have access to Him now, whereas before Jesus' perfect sacrifice, only the priests had access through sacrifices. But I don't know the context of what Grams...

Kingdom of God is Within You

Right. He calls, and then we have a choice as to whether we heed that call or not.

    Hebrews 6:1-6

Ok, let's talk about your passage in 1 Cor. 3. It's talking about people building upon the foundation. What is the foundation? Ephesians 2:20 says the foundation is the apostles and prophets, with Jesus being the chief cornerstone that everything else lines up to. That foundation will never be...

    Hebrews 6:1-6

I have some thoughts on this, but I don't have time to flesh it all out right now. I have a meeting to get to right now. I'll definitely come back and reply when I get a chance later, though. And just a reminder, just because we might disagree about scriptural interpretation doesn't mean we...

    Paranoid Christianity

Works are not a means to salvation, but a result and byproduct of salvation. We're saved by grace through faith. It's only through Christ. But James makes it clear that faith without works is dead faith. He's not talking about earning salvation, but just the idea that if you've been transformed...

Once in Heaven, can you lose your salvation?

Haha. See, this is why we have so many different denominations and theological beliefs. I can look at the whole thing in a completely different light and wonder how in the world anyone else can't see it that way. Anyway, repentance is a huge topic. What does repentance mean? In its simplest...

    Paranoid Christianity

I haven't been around enough to know the context of what is being said here. And I deeply believe in Jesus' truth of knowing a tree by its fruit. But I would just hate for people to get to the point that they claim people have a mental illness because they disagree with the way you believe...
