A timeline for Christianity, Israel, and the end of days...

Did I hear Newton mentioned? Well ol' Sir Isaac did not believe there was reason for the "world to end" before 2060, but it could go further he believed. He marked 800AD as the beginning of the Pope's supremacy, and using a day for a year added Daniel's 1260 to obtain 2060AD. So he said there...

What part of the Bible are you studying?

Actually, for the umpteenth time, I'm simply reading thru it again. Each time gets easier and I can make it thru easily in a half year or less, plus morning and evening devotions (similar to the morning and evening sacrifice). As for what topics of the bible specifically interest me, I'd have...

    Baptism

I agree with you here. But this is such a simple command, why not get baptized? So, like you said, one should. I have to wonder the person's motivation when Jesus said to be baptized and the early church did it. OK-- we can make an exception if one is fearful of the water and don't like the...

    Law Liquidated

I get the feeling this is going to be a long thread. As I always say, the standards of the Law are not done away with, and a person who is truly righteous will live in those standards because that's his nature (only Christ did that). The Law describes righteous character. The issue is with the...

New study on Shroud of Turin concludes image could not have been painted, points to a violent death

With computer graphics today, they can also generate accurate pictures of the face embedded on the shroud. One has to simply google this and there's a lot of videos and such out there. One theory I heard about how the imprint was made (and it's both logical and appealing to me) is the burst...

The Cross that no one wants to talk about

I don't think any true Christian believes in the slightest sense that works saves them-- I don't see that in posts of any Christian forum. Even people who believe in practicing the Law (such as Sabbath) don't believe that, but rather obedience is evidence of faith. It may seem like some are...

Why do so many Christains treat unbelievers as the enemy of God?

My guess to this question is a certain amount of pride fueled by insecurity-- nobody wants to be "wrong". But that applies to all, converted or unconverted so when a comment is taken personally, we all (who have various levels of this) have to remember to act civil. It can happen both ways...

The Deception of the Teaching of the Trinity

Yeah I won't deny that, either. I was talking about usage, i.e. Isaiah 11 talks about 7 different spirits in a Menorah type fashion whether Revelation had that in mind or not. But then again, I'm not perfect. I actually got that Isaiah 11 idea a long time ago reading mainline Christian...

The Deception of the Teaching of the Trinity

Revelation 4 seems to be using the passage of Isaiah 11:1-3 in a similar manner.

The Deception of the Teaching of the Trinity

I agree with your interpretation of the Spirit of God. But for those who would say that the Spirit is a separate person, you forgot to mention Revelation 4:5 with the 7 spirits of God so there must be 7 Holy Spirits. LOL The apostles always greeted in the name of God and the Lord Jesus...

    Gravity

    Here's one like it:

    Gravity

That's correct. Despite the path, if we integrate the force as some function of distance over it's path (from A to B), we find that the area is the same if it simply moved vertically from A to B. Such is the case of my gravity operated clock. I'm so happy that the cuckoo clock's weights drop...

    How many Christians disobey this?

This is very touchy but I believe what the bible says. The church really watered this down. Thank God that nothing ever happened that I got involved with the wrong woman when younger only to marry and divorce again. Looking back I see definite protection. Although I'm not ugly, I'm not a lady...

Why the Holy Spirit Is Excluded from Being Worshipped

I misquoted. I had in mind Colossians 1:16. It's "by" not through but some translations say that so I probably had them on my mind. I think you have in mind "through" as in the form of a conduit. I had in mind an agent. This is just a semantics issue here not worth really addressing.

Why the Holy Spirit Is Excluded from Being Worshipped

For the most part, I like this. I think other religions were Noahic interpretations of the one truth. I choose to stay with the bible which speaks directly on the subject we are discussing here. However, I do feel a sort of kinship with what you are saying (I think the creation of this world...

Why the Holy Spirit Is Excluded from Being Worshipped

So all, just a thought. I think the book of John shows Genesis how it was in the beginning. It's God and the Word. God spoke ("Christ-ed") and everything came into being. That was thru Christ. Perhaps God is the only being I know who can speak and in and of itself becomes a being which is...

Why the Holy Spirit Is Excluded from Being Worshipped

To get back to true and early Christianity, I tend to seek Judaic type understanding of Scriptures rather than that of the Gentile church. For example, while I believe the Law is important and should be obeyed, don't confuse that with doing so for salvation (as opposed to "because of"). IMHO...

    Was Jesus married?

They been trowing this idea around for a long time, Templars, Henry Sinclair, holy grail (symbolic of a woman) and their take on a perpetual Davidic throne. I think this is the worldly system of gaining power, Illuminati, conspiracy stuff and call it what you will. I personally believe that...

    Why can't God count?

Sure. Here is a .pdf link so that you can either download it to your computer or devices, whatever you have: http://www.markfoster.net/rn/texts/AllBooksOfEnoch.pdf I was discussing primarily the 1st book of Enoch, and like you believe it could have been passed by oral tradition and fragments...
