If Hitler were to have repented for his sins before he died, would he have gone to Heaven?

Paul said... does the potter not have authority over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel unto honor, but one unto dishonor? Why so much attention on what man does when the matters rests in God's hands.

Easter reflection on John 13 and 14...

John 13 I note that Jesus was passing on last important principles as His ministry was coming to a close. Jesus knew He had all sufficiency in the Father and had nothing to gain by effort or esteem. So he proceeded to pass on to His future leaders the foundation for their coming ministry - to...

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Yes, being blind to your own deception is bondage indeed...

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

...and the thief was to be in paradise with Jesus without delay. The issue is that most folks don't appreciate the timeless space that exists in eternity which means in chronology there is a perceived delay but there is no delay in timeless eternity.

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

There are so many flaws in your use of Scripture, but that is the way you have been taught I guess. As all but your folk are deceived there is little point in dialogue. I would rather spend my time more fruitfully. Have a great day.

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Whatever the destination you think we have unless we believe 'your truth' It aint heaven. As to detailing my decades of bible study, I wont bother, you have judged me and billions of others, because they don't buy into the teaching of your cult. Have a great day.

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

I could respond to every scriptural point but you don't present as one who would be open to anything I might say. I note your threats of hell, this is normal for a cult. Have a great day.

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Well this response amounts to a curse on many souls on this forum, and insists on submission to a theology of a known false prophet. May the readers beware. Thank you for the reasonably civil dialogue - May the Lord reveal who is deceived.

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

How does it feel to be on a forum among these weeds - given that you believe only the JW's are true believers?

So all of the 60 or so modern translations are wrong? I suspect your theology comes through the lens of Mr. Russell - were you quoting the New World Translation - compiled to support his theology. Mr. Russell believed that Christ had left heaven in 1874 to return to earth and expected that...

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Not really, I used the term soul/spirit because they were undefined for the purposes of this discussion. Reading Rev 6, the souls of the martyrs do not seem to be in their graves and were even able to speak to the Lord. 9And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls...

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Not so... Jesus said "Before Abraham was I AM"

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

John the Baptist was told that the one upon whom the Spirit would come upon and remain upon would be the awaited Messiah. Without this event being visible Jesus would have been like any other devout Jew, and not identified as the Lamb of God..

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Elijah was never in a grave. The heavenly realm is not bound by chronology. Jesus could transcend into timelessness and talk with saints of old. The old body may be in a grave or burnt up but the soul/spirit returns to God. Ecc 12:7

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

When Jesus was baptised a voice from heaven said "this is my Son in whom I am well pleased" 16 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him, 17 and behold, a voice out...

When a believer dies, will he be with God as a sentient being right away?

Half of the modern translations do not translate with the word vision - they say "what you have seen" If you read from the beginning of the chapter they witnessed a tangible event. Noun. ὅρᾱμᾰ • (hórāma) n (genitive ὁρᾱ́μᾰτος); third declension. that which is seen, a visible object, a sight.

You make a grave mistake :) How do you account for Moses and Elijah on the mount ?

Israeli attack on civilians should be condemned by all believers

You have created a 'straw man' no sane believer would advocate drinking poison to test God. Mark 16 clearly states that the signs would follow believers. All 50 translations include Mark 16:17
