Do Men Have Authority Over Women?

Authority is misunderstood. It descends from Heaven to earth ordered to fit God's purposes for His creatures. Remember when Pilate told Jesus that he had power of life and death over Him? Jesus responded that Pilate would have no authority over Him had it not been given him from above. That...

    What tempted Satan?

Worship. He wanted to be like God. The bearer of light wants to be the light. Satan's splendor was unmatched. This is a unique place in heaven. To be created above all others in heaven. Most godlike. That is what tempted him to sin I think. That only God was greater than himself.

Have you ever thought about how we would think without words?

From my little understanding of the subject. Child psychologists describe infant perception in terms of objects. The maternal object is the mother. Object recognition and object permanence are important developments.

    Mary is all powerful!

People needed a precursor to make a straight way to the Lord. To clean them up a bit so they wouldn't out and out reject Him. I think there is a little evidence that the traditional view about Mary could be correct. Just wondering why anyone who is not a virgin would continue to be called one...

Is the Easter Bunny a fraud?

They must be more interested in resurrecting ancient paganism

Is the Easter Bunny a fraud?

It was once a pagan symbol. The folks who believed it's former meaning were convinced that it's true meaning was in Christ. That victory wasn't cheap. Now there are people attempting to convince Christians that those symbols only mean what they used to mean ages ago to people that no longer...

    Mary is all powerful!

In that case the words that indicate emotion would require that the entire depth of Scripture be plumbed.;)

    Mary is all powerful!

Calvin . . . No man will obstinately keep up the argument, except from an extreme fondness for disputation. (Pringle, ibid., vol. I, p. 107) Indicators of that fondness are words like 'nothing' 'everything' 'always''never,'. Argument founded on emotional need lacks reason.

Well, their story was passed down distorted by the family baggage that got passed down with it.o_O

    Why do Catholics…

They remembered the flood. The tower was built to make another one survivable. To void the judgement of God. I think if God didn't preserve the human story in truth for us, no line of descendants from Noah would have passed it down without passing down the distortions that come with family...

    Why do Catholics…

Suppose Paul had convinced them that the God they worship as unknown had made Himself known. That their religion and their worship prepared them to receive the true object of their worship. Christ. Their pagan roots would become a revered part of their Christian identity. Not a remnant of an...

My view was revelation chapter 12 part 2

That sets up the timing for the next scene. Consider the possibility that the following paragraph describes what happened to John the beloved and Jesus' mother Mary after Pentecost. John kept Mary safe and hidden from persecutors. John's symbol is the eagle. Eagle wings refer to himself. The...

    Why do Catholics…

I don't think the author of the book of Revelation considered it to be a pagan symbol.
