Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

I think most Christians desire to be baptized in water post Salvation as an outward confession of their faith and born-again experience. A good thing. The wheels come off though when folks try to twist the scriptures to require water baptism for salvation. I think when looking at the period of...

Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

Read Acts 11:16-18. The light came on for Peter and the other Apostles. Notice Acts 11 is after Acts 2:38:)

Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

Jesus said John baptized in water, I come to baptize in the Holy Spirit. Can't be any more clear than Jesus's own words. You have to do a lot of assuming to correlate that the Holy Ghost requires water baptism for salvation. We do not need an action item after salvation to prove it. Baptism of...

Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

We know Cornelius was saved and baptized by the Holy Spirit without water baptism. Being baptized by the Holy Spirit is a result of faith and getting wet has nothing to do with obtaining salvation.

Folks are tired of a reformation and hunger for a transformation, which Acts 2:38 will provide

I find it interesting in Acts 2:38 Peter says "let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins" Peter is saying that baptism is a necessary process and we have to assume he is talking about water baptism since he was not enlightened about receiving the Holy...

Grace-Haters are incapable of honestly admitting what the (P) in Calvinism really means.

I still cannot get past all the warnings in the New Testament directly aimed at Christians (Believers). Deceptions, False Teachers, False Prophets. If one repented, confessed his sins and as a new Believer were given eternal security why all the warnings? It's like being given waterproof boots...

I think you guys are saying the same thing. Quoting you in agreement. (I think):)

No sir. I'm not asking someone to make God a puppet by any definition. That logic is kinda silly since any hermeneutics could be so defined. Textualism is honorable believe it or not. No need to jump thru hyper scriptural gymnastics. I do think it's clear that some things are left unexplained...

I suspect that he is referring to the opportunity the cross provides. It was predestined that Jesus would be the sacrificial lamb providing the pathway to salvation.

The Apostle Paul on many occasions warns the new Christians, exhorting them to continue in the faith. Acts 14:22 is but one example. He discusses the concern of new Jewish Christians falling back into Judaism. Continued faith and obedience is such an overwhelming and repeated message that it...

The Mark of the Beast Has Arrived

No one will take the mark of the beast by accident. I do not think it's the actual mark that is the problem but more the allegiance one took when receiving the mark. I seen one Youtube evangelist even suggest that if you took the mark on your hand during the tribulation you might be able to cut...

We are broken in the sense we cannot save ourselves and we are in the flesh. Broken does not mean we are incapable of making a choice. I cannot ignore the many scriptures that clearly say "whosoever" and "If". Even stupid people make choices each and every day. Are you one of those Calvinist...

    Lets Define "Works"

I think that many differences in theology are the results of Christians definition of WORKS. Some categorize works into two buckets. Those of the regenerated spirit and those that are physical outward works. We could discuss for days on the century old debate on the belief that any work earns...

It would be stupid but we all know that humans have a leaning towards stupidity. In fact we are flawed in many ways. John 3:16 the word believeth in greek can be defined as "Obey" "commit". We all know that even Satan believeth in him. Our problem is largely the fact that we are rational human...

Indeed it is forever as long as you believe. I realize we are not going to agree. I find that the word of God is full of warnings for the believer. No warnings would be necessary if you were secure in your eternal salvation. It seems that many like yourself view continued "belief" "love of God"...

True. IMHO the eternal salvation doctrine appeals to many that like a "check the box" salvation. After accepting salvation by faith thru God's grace they can put God and their Bible back on the shelf and go about their life secure in their belief. Of course not all Calvinist think this way. Many...

As I said, I'm in Houston but I do travel the state often. Always good to meet another Christian brother. If your open to meeting sometime send me a message with your location if you do not want to communicate that in the open forum.

I'll pray harder. The problem with communication via online forums is that it allows for limited and full understanding, opens the door for misreading someone's character and their true conviction. Not always but sometimes. I would enjoy meeting you in person sometime. You're in Texas and so am...
