A Classic - The Homeless Preacher

If you read between the lines, I think you'll see he's saying that he chose not to remain homeless. Some people choose to remain homeless.

    Are babies born without sin

Definitely born with a sin nature, but born without having committed sin.

Demons Walk the Earth Appearing as Humans

Islam's growth is due to the much higher birthrate among muslims than the rest of the world, and the fact that one basically becomes a muslim when one is born. Christianity is a choice.

    jacobs troubles

It's just amazing to me that people associate this prophecy with the 'end times'. Jeremiah wrote that prophecy before Babylon completely destroyed Jerusalem, and people want to say that he wasn't prophesying about that and Israel's prior destruction and scattering among the nations? Bizarre...

My wife is afraid she will die on September 16

This might turn out to be a blessing. When she doesn't die she will hopefully overcome some of her fear that is keeping her in bondage.

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

Well I was trying to get that across... I totally agree that our position is not in question. But the quality of that relationship is affected. btw I live this every day. I am somewhat of an authority on it whether I can explicitly show you in scripture or not. I know the power...

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

I think that 1 John 1:9 does that very thing; forgiveness, not from GOD's prespective, but from ours. Only one thing cleanses: the holy spirit, which is the spirit of truth. If we confess the truth that we are defiled by sin we dwell in the spirit of truth, and receive the cleansing forgiveness...

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

What you are failing to consider is that our minds are continually soiled by the images of the world and the corruption of our fallen nature, and we need continual cleansing from these; just like what the bronze laver by the altar of burnt offering in the temple accomplished. This cleansing is...

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

But it does seem to be somewhat of a semantic paradox that only faith alone can produce the sort of works that save a person, but faith alone cannot save a person.

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

IMO this is the kind of faith James is referring to that cannot save a person.

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

My rationale for stating this is the following. It is interesting that Jesus said (says) that the mere act of acknowledgment of one's sinful condition makes one sinless (in his eyes), and vice versa. Jesus said to them, “If you were blind [i.e., having a humble attitude because of the awareness...

The hypergrace controversy: Heresy, maturity, or somewhere in between?

Was this Dr. Brown by chance? I don't agree with the two teachers that said 'we' refers to unbelievers in the congregation. Quite a stretch and contrived. I do believe that all in GOD's congregation have sin (sinful nature), and to deny such is to deny the truth. This stain requires continual...

Paul returned to the Church of Jerusalem

The only reason Paul had Timothy circumcised was to remove any opportunity for the Judeans to accuse them of wrongdoing. Paul was a Jew to the Jews and a gentile to the gentiles; distinctions without a difference leveraged for the the glory of GOD.

Paul returned to the Church of Jerusalem

This was already addressed at the Council at Jerusalem in which James ruled that gentiles were not obligated to be circumcised, and thus come under the bond of the old covenant in which they would have been required to keep the law of Moses. To state otherwise is to go against apostolic...
