The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

Because you're a game player, that's why. As I've said before, and I'll say it again. having a 'discussion' with you is a waste of time.

    TEN COMMANDMENTS?

If only some Christians could get that through their heads... Here is what I think was written on the stone tablets. Could two stone tablets that were light enough for Moses to carry held more than this? Otherwise they would have had to have held the above plus this:

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

The term is Judeans, i.e., specifically the tribe of Judah, and generally those who practiced the Judean religion or inhabited the land of Judah at that time. Christ was talking with a Samaritan woman, a descendent of Jacob, who said the fathers of Israel said Mt Gerazim in Samaria was the...

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

Now that 's a funny and accurate typo... Properly translated, salvation is out of the Judeans, i.e., the Judean branch called Jesus. The only thing Israel has to do with salvation is that they are fellow heirs of the promises. GOD is the husbandman who grafts all believers into the vine and...

    Pastor at 19 - Wow!

A 19 y/o shepherd I can see for sheep, but people? I don't think so. He might be a good preacher, but that doesn't of itself make one a good or effective pastor. Just saw the thing about bookings. Performance art?

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

The source of sonship is Christ through the new covenant made with Israel in the persons of 11 men. Believing branches are grafted into that covenant, and partake of the blessings of that covenant. It has nothing to do with what you call Israel.

Note to Purty - it's not their Olive Tree; it's GOD's.

Christ is not interested in people that only want his glory. Any ungodly fool would pick that. He only wants those who love him enough to suffer with him.

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

Let's see... who were the believers among the nations indebted to? Was it Caiaphus, and the people who stoned Stephen, and all of the other unbelieving Israelites? No. They were indebted to the believing remnant of Israelites at that time because their spiritual well-being depended upon their...

    In Metaphor of Ducklings

Dead duck... The one who loves his life loses it, and the one who hates his life in this world preserves it for eternal life. John 12:25

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

With that kind of response, I'm just really astounded that you even consider yourself to be an expositor of scripture, and that you actually believe you have something edifying to contribute to the body of Christ. Astounding... simply astounding...

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

Yes lest we forget that Romans 15:27 was written nearly 2000 years ago, and their spiritual things consisted primarily of the scriptures and the teachings of the apostles. Those things have long been out of their hands, and into the hands of others who have preserved the same for centuries. To...

Making others work for you on the Sabbath Day

Many (most?) Christians don't believe that they are under the law of Moses, which is true. So to them the question is irrelevant. Those who do think they are under the law of Moses are simply being oblivious, or are like pharisees who don't care that someone breaks the sabbath for their sakes...

    Breaking the Ice.

Maybe stated this way it will make more sense; Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:27

    Dispensationalism

That was the OT; done for a specific plan that has served its purpose and gone away. We are now in a new covenant (dispensation) in which GOD shows favoritism to no one. Time to catch up with the program...
