    Breaking the Ice.

This is an excellent point overlooked by so many.

    Last Day

The rapture and 1st resurrection occur on the same day. That is the plain teaching of scripture.

    Dispensationalism

Welcome. As you say, the promises were never to the natural seed, but to the spiritual seed which is the lineage of the firstborn from Abraham to Christ.

    Abuse in the Church

He apologized for lashing out in anger, which means 1) humility, and 2) he recognizes his anger was counterproductive (for whatever reason; I don't care). Forgiveness is a healing balm; I will freely give it.

    Abuse in the Church

Didn't offend me either, but if a man asks me to forgive him, I'm going to do it. :)

    Breaking the Ice.

That sounds like really good advice...

    Abuse in the Church

I forgive you. (IMO it takes a good, courageous heart to repent like that)

    Abuse in the Church

And I'm sure you're the type of person that would love to provide that humility in the form of a whip. No wonder you're sticking up for the man, you sound just like him. You're being presumptuous to claim Paul acted a certain way. IMO he was far more discerning than you are, and would never have...

    Abuse in the Church

I judge the man's character by his fruit. It's very telling that you justify his ungodliness.

    Abuse in the Church

pride (I'm important, I am somebody), arrogance, the willingness to publicly humiliate others for insignificant perceived offenses (love covers a multitude of sins, and any perceived offense should have been handled privately). The man is ungodly to the core.

    Breaking the Ice.

IMO, the duty of Christians is to keep themselves unspotted from the world and grow in grace and love. If the opportunity presents itself to 'witness', fine; if not, no guilt trips. Not everyone is called to be an evangelist or go into the world preaching the gospel. Live the life, that is what...

    Abuse in the Church

A discerning Christian would have rebuked that fool for his ungodliness. The problem is that people are cowards and have become slaves to religious organizations.

book of Ruth. then maybe Deuteronomy... book of job is great (that's where I first remember thinking the bible was a pretty good book)

The proper and harmonious interpretation of Romans 11:25 [split from another topic]

(Paul said) ...... Did God reject his people? By no means! - That was said before 70AD (Paul said) ...... Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! - Again, said before 70 AD (Paul said) ...... the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches. - Jesus is what...

The Tabernacle Experience..Is it really new?

We are already sons of GOD; and we became sons of man when we were born in the flesh. And the festival of tabernacles will not be fulfilled until after the lord returns.

The Tabernacle Experience..Is it really new?

What got into my mind was the discernment that Justin has a godly heart. He is a very honest person who loves GOD, IMO; and I admire and respect his desire to have a closer walk with GOD. IMO he is vague about many things and tentative in speech because he is trying to avoid the snare of...

The Tabernacle Experience..Is it really new?

If I may... I personally don't agree with Justin's view that Jesus became GOD, but I do respect his desire to know the spirit behind the letter of doctrine and law. I sincerely wish we could have had a more civil conversation to mutually explore these things together. Unfortunately, IMO he was...

The Tabernacle Experience..Is it really new?

Jesus was born GOD... Jesus was not born GOD, but became GOD through obedience... hmmmm... this is very interesting... I think this is the crux of the whole matter... The former: one is born GOD who is continually perfected through sanctification by faith The latter: one becomes GOD through the...

Unsure whether to help family? Please help and pray...

If this is the way they want to play the game, here's a word of advice: whenever you get a raise, keep it to yourself.
