Can a Christian have a demon?

I do not have faith in free will. I have faith in the "author and finisher of my faith".

Can a Christian have a demon?

You dodged the question. I repeat, are you saying that God has treated Israel and Gentile Christians in exactly the same way?

Can a Christian have a demon?

And what if the Calvinists are NOT right about God? Would that shake your whole world?

Can a Christian have a demon?

Not at all--truth is truth. But do you really mean to say that God has always treated Gentile Christians in exactly the same way as He has treated Israel?

Can a Christian have a demon?

And what would that be, in your estimation?

Can a Christian have a demon?

I think it is their way of looking at the Bible. While I think that it is clear that God acts in different ways with different people groups, I would NOT call myself a "Dispensationalist" so what do I care about whether its origins are legitimate to you?

Can a Christian have a demon?

You Calvinists are so antagonistic. Why bother to argue if everything is already set in stone? How do you make the leap to "all non-Calvinists hate God"?

Can a Christian have a demon?

    I am not a "Dispie"--are you a "Calvy"?

Can a Christian have a demon?

I can tell time quite well, thank you very much. But I still reject most of what Calvinism claims to believe.

Can a Christian have a demon?

Clarence Larkin had some very odd thoughts--some babbling about Egyptian pyramids among other oddities. I am unlikely to endorse any of his thoughts. Name-calling is not apt to win many to your side.

Can a Christian have a demon?

You've made that accusation before. Proof? Dallas Theological Seminary is a bastion of Dispensationalism. They have very thorough scholars. One would think they would have uncovered any Jesuit hoax long before this.

Can a Christian have a demon?

And you are a clock that works?

    Romans 8

In spite of your accusation, I would say that there has been a great deal of "renewing" of my mind since coming to faith, as those who know me best would be likely to attest. I think I was simply reacting to your seeming lack of engagement with the topic at hand and a fair bit of vagueness.

    Romans 8

What you said about the love coming first, reminded me of sitting in a Sunday School class as a very young child. I remember looking up at a famous portrait of Jesus with the little children and thinking how much I loved Him.

Not trying to be rude but :confused:o_O

Agreed. One thing that bothers me a great deal about Calvinists is that they often refer to themselves as "Calvinists" rather than Christians. For those who have delved into Calvin's life, you know that he certainly did not resemble Christ. In the same way, RCs will often call themselves...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Even a broken clock gets the time right twice a day.

Can a Christian have a demon?

Yes, I think it is important to make the distinction between those who are utterly controlled by demons (most often seen among Third World animists/pagans) and those who are harassed by demons (which could be any one of us). We Christians have the ability to resist them in Jesus' name ("resist...

Can a Christian have a demon?

Could well be, Nancy. On the other hand, it could just be someone who enjoys taunting Christians (which, I guess is kind of the same thing). Some even think they are rendering a service to God by accusing Christians--but, in reality, it is providing merriment to the devil.

Can a Christian have a demon?

I came to that conclusion, some years ago, after I read Dave Hunt's, A Woman Rides the Beast. With the RCC's relatively new push for combining all world religions into one, it seems more clear than ever.
