    Do you have God's Righteousness?

We can't keep the Law of Christ, Robert. We are fallen man and we will fail. God demands perfection, if you make the keeping of these Laws your object of faith, you will be condemned because you will fail. God's Grace through faith in Christ alone will cover your failures. It's Grace, something...

    Truth Be Told

I agree but not sure what type of suffering you're speaking of. Paul speaks of different types of suffering. One type is the suffering our Lord suffered when He wept at the tomb of Lazarus. He was witnessing what has happened to man because of the fall. Death and sickness were all around Him...

Why GOD Has To Make A New Earth, A Clean Earth = Genesis 4;10-11, Numbers 35;33, Ezekiel 32;6, Revel

Yes, all traces of sin will be erased. The new earth will be what God originally intended for man, no knowledge of sin. That is guaranteed by what Christ did in defeating sin for us!

    Truth Be Told

Paul tells us in 1 Cor. 3:11-12 that these works are the works built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. That includes all works of any kind. All works are built on the fact that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world.

    Truth Be Told

I agree that all who are saved will have a desire to do good works. At the same time, Paul has shown us that man can stand before God with his works all burned up and still enter into God's rest with just his faith in Christ.

    Truth Be Told

You say that we should do good, and I agree. It is how we go about doing good that matters! Doing good, the things that please God, must be done through us by the Holy Spirit. If you are led by the Spirit, as Paul said, it is the Spirit that plans the good we do, it's not of our own doings...

    Truth Be Told

Paul and John are speaking of what should be the goal of all born-again believers, reigning in the practice of sin by the power of the Holy Spirit! If you reach the goal of no known sin in your life, you have stopped the practice of sin, exactly where God wants you so He can bless you and use...

    Truth Be Told

You freely chose Christ, and you can freely choose to depart from Christ! Unless you are a Calvinist who believes the sinner has no say in his salvation. In other words, God has chose some for salvation and some never had a chance.

    Truth Be Told

No way you can ever lose your salvation if your faith remains in Christ to the end. Is it possible for one to freely choose Christ and for some reason freely choose to no longer follow Christ at some point? If something happens in your life and you become bitter with Christ, will He force you...

    Truth Be Told

Oh Ok, I thought when John said "that you may know that you have eternal life" was eternal security.

    Truth Be Told

You want "true eternal security teaching" word for word from scripture? Here it is. 1 John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." Do you see here...

    Truth Be Told

Eternal security is an absolute truth! As long as one holds the faith to the end. That means to the end of this physical life. Faith is what got you into the Grace of God and faith is what keeps you in.

    Truth Be Told

Show me the exact words "you cannot lose your salvation." We can both play that game, but it's a waste of time. There are to many scriptures that show one can lose their salvation for it not to be so. Probably the greatest of them all is Rev. 22:19, "And if any man shall take away from the...

    Truth Be Told

I can show you several verses that do not say "you can lose your salvation" but they are saying "you can lose your salvation." They have been posted (I have seen them) time and time again, but they are not believed. I posted one this morning from Ezekiel 18:24, "But when the righteous turneth...

    Truth Be Told

All the explaining we could endeavor will never bring us to the same conclusion. We have approached the Scripture in opposite ways.
  16. Charlie24

    Truth Be Told

Salvation is kept by faith in Christ! The power of God to promise that salvation is only found by faith. As long as faith in Christ is in the heart, nothing can pluck them out of the Father's hand.
  17. Charlie24

    Truth Be Told

I see it a totally different way. Christ taught the Law because that is God's standard of righteousness. If man could keep these Laws (speaking of the 10 commandments, the moral Law) he would have his own righteousness. But keeping these Laws is impossible for fallen man. That was the purpose...
  18. Charlie24

    Truth Be Told

Christ didn't teach the Law? When the rich young ruler came to Christ and asked what good thing shall I do to inherit eternal life, Christ began to quote the 10 commandments (the moral Law). Then he told Christ he had kept these commandments from his youth and up, but he had not kept the Law...

    Truth Be Told

Paul is the only author in the entire Bible who explains who man is, where he is at, and where he is going. He's the only one who explains sin, what it is, what it means, and how to overcome it. The message Paul teaches about sin is that it is our nature to sin, but the forgiveness of sin by...

    Truth Be Told

Can't agree with the OP! Just as surly as ones sins are blotted out by faith in Christ, so is ones righteousness blotted out when he ceases to have faith in Christ. Ezekiel 18:24 "But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all...
