Finally something we agree on.

I went to a Church of Christ with a friend who asked me to go. I wanted to see what was going on, so I went. They tried to dunk me so I would be saved. Since then I call them the "baptizers."

My Lord! What came out of Paul's mouth was what had happened in his heart. He had surrendered to Christ and that surrendering was revealed in "Lord, what will you have do."

That is ridiculous, a play on words. Paul surrendered to Christ is saying, "Lord, what will you have me do." The 3000 were convicted and didn't know what to do. What is the differrence?

Nowhere in scripture will you find that the Blood is applied in water baptism. I'm not sure, but believe this was invented by the RCC.

The problem is that the baptizers don't realize when salvation takes place. In Acts 22:16, the baptizers believe Paul was saved when he was baptized. But Paul was saved 3 days earlier on the road to Damascus when he said, "Lord, what will you have me do." That is when he surrendered his life...

I will show you one! Acts 22:16. It's used often by the baptizers. "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

Show me an actual example in Acts where they were baptized for the remission of sins.

And you have blasphemed the Lord you claim by making water equal with the Blood! Water baptism has it's purpose, but it is not for the purpose of cleansing sin. Nothing but the Blood!

Faith is the only way! To the Old Testament folks it was faith in looking forward to the Coming Messiah whose shed Blood was represented by the blood of an animal sacrifice. For the New Testament folks it is faith in looking back at the Messiah and the Blood He shed for us.

My friend, you need a lesson stemming from Lev. 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."

I choose "nothing but the Blood!" Add to it at your own risk!

Nothing but the Blood, my friend! Making anything else a necessity for the cleansing of sin is blasphemy!

Obeying Acts 2:38, as you interpret it is blasphemy! It is insulting God by making a ceremony of man equal to the Blood of Christ for the cleansing of ones sins.

They had already received the Holy Spirit while Peter was preaching. That means they were saved and sins forgiven before they were water baptized. What does that tell you?
